These are great cars. I had the previous chassis series 740iL. I like the extra rear leg room, and rear and side mirror sunscreens that roll up and down.

It seems that this car dosn´t have DSP but if it had I´d say that the radio module had been replaced falsely. If there is no sound from the speakers in FM or tape mode it´s a problem between the radio module and the amplifier. The cd changer should work although. Simply locate the right speaker pin out on the radio module and test with a seperate speaker if there is sound in FM mode then there is a communication problem further on to the amplifier. If so get the right module.Very easy to check.

i bought the same madel 4 yrs and 100,000 miles ago it was the best buy ever, i did have to replace a headlamp which was a little pricey , but well worth the stealth and power my god it has a lot of leg room.
