  • Nice

  • 4:41 he also appears inspired as he gazes upward

  • This is a deeply spiritual movie for me. I see the scene at 5:22 as August praying, followed by an immediate answer, when Louis is then prompted in the spirit to turn his head and see the woman he loves.

  • I love this movie, I cried at the end, it's so beautiful. And the music is simply amazing.

  • ♥I love this song♥

  • 14 people are tone-deaf

  • @ArtemisPower they are aliens ... they have their aces in the place of their ears

  • Ahhhhhhhh goosebumps.

  • Cry with the end of the movie

  • I noticed that the Reverand Jay (AKA black guy from church that took in the kid) is a different actor in this scene. Or am I just seeing things??

  • gosh, i cried so much..

  • Mesmerizing...

  • As a singer and my love for classical music and some up to date music, this movie touches my heart, mind and I can't stop crying, absolutely beautiful and remarkable.

  • muy buena pelicula muyy buena la mejor sin duda

  • It's been quite some time since I last saw this in its entirety, but every time I watch clips like this from the movie, I can't stop the tears that well up in my eyes.

Music and love do bring people together in the end, after all.

  • 5:13 onwards. IT SOUNDS SO FAMILIAR! Just cant remember where i heard it before! anyone know? i really love that part.

  • Espectacular... es para llorar de felicidad <3

  • This song always gives me hope that I can truly find happiness someday........maybe not today, or tomorrow or next week. But possibly someday. And I'm content knowing that I will find happiness. Music is the glue that holds me together.

  • me encanta........ es hermosa!!!!!

  • Hermosa!

  • this boys is just so magnificant with his gests ...

  • For those 13 people who hit the dislike button, they must've meant "Dis I Like!"

  • goosebumps <3

  • Precioso!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wooowww it's amazing... I likee this melody....

  • what a beautiful ending :)

  • @smoothwave43 it was an homage to moondance by van morrison - the song his parents called their song

  • his smile at the end :) what a cutie!

  • This scene took my breath away. Bst ending ever.

  • @FuzzBallFrost

    PURE HAPPINESS!

  • They need to make number 2 movie of this!...I want to see the reaction of Jonathan Rhys when he discovers that August is his little boy!...they all have a lot of music to make!....who agrees with me???

  • @mishie825 it will be somewhat tricky though, considering that freddie highmore is so much older now

  • @mishie825 sequels always leave a bad taste in my mouth. i thought it was a perfect ending.

  • @mishie825 Didn't you see his face change at 6:40? I think that's when the realization happens. But I would love to see them meet again knowing that they are family.

  • Lo único que no me gusta de esta película es que deberían sacarle un segunda aparte para verlos juntos jeje..

  • I remember seeing this when it came out and during this scene I had goosebumps down my entire back and arms, a smile on my face and a few tears in my eyes.

I saw this again today and same reaction.

  • this movie gives me hope

  • 4:38 starts my personal favorite part. Almost sound like "Pirates of the Caribbean". This is such a good piece.

  • stilll listenin to this in 2011...cant get enough :)

  • suknisti idiotai

  • i like this

the ending for me is ok

  • When I listen to this song I always end up feeling so much better after a rough day at work thanks august rush n I'm listening x

  • Excelente rapsodia, lo más encantador es que hayan puesto a un niño y la historia es increíble. Me encanta August Rush! <3

  • I don't see a boy orchestrating, I see a young adult orchestrating.

  • He has beautiful eyes!! And the music is excellent! I've watched this part of movie many times... I really like it!! <3

  • music + emotions = beauty

i wish August Rush truely existed

  • Freddie Highmore is extremeley hot and amazing and awesome!! I love him sooooooooooooooo much! except, Emma Roberts-Bitch is with him!

  • @MsLovePatricia Fucking retarded

  • Guitar for his dad and the Cello for his mom!

  • Obviously this boy didn't create this piece, but if this can happen, I wouldn't even know what to say. When was the last time this world had someone this special?

  • Comment removed

  • @Death2You i agree,,but i think,,and i may be wrong,,but the last time a 10 year old made something musically geniouse was Beethoven. But i don't think he was in need of finding his parents.

  • @Death2You /watch?v=nHJ6Z8li7Os :)

  • @Death2You mozart but we live in a society that thinks beiber is a prodigy. i think he has some talent sure but come on. so if any kid like this did exist he would most likely be ignored

  • @Death2You its. a. movie.

  • Can the mom not brush her hair?

  • I love love love this, most beautiful Rhapsody I have ever heard I cannot get enough of this movie :)

  • so beautiful that makes me cry :-<:x every time i watch

  • this give me the chills everytime i see it <3

  • I love it.

  • One of the best FINALE film I've ever seen. August performance is EXCELLENT !!

  • wow

  • this song is very very nice .

  • simplemente fabulosa

  • @xgamesd11 Go some where else and be a troll you have no clue how hart warming this song is go stick a lighter up your ass

  • @hippyface123 ,y bro wrote that

  • @xgamesd11 so ish yher facee

  • At 3:37 he's conducting out of time (Sorry, but I blame marching band on this)... Other than that, it's a great piece :)

  • I have just noticed now that when the father and mother both gets caught up in concert is when there is a duet between the Cello (the mother) and the guitar (the father)... Nice detail

  • The best rhapsody ever!!! and the movie was excellent~~~...

  • i dont quite get the ending.

  • @steflondon88 I think the woman in the end was actually his mom. His mom was looking for him throughout the movie, didn't you watch it? lol

  • @SimplyShaded ...I know, long time ago actually. but what i dont understand is he looks at her and smiles as if he knew she was there... and then they dont tell you what happens.

  • @steflondon88 If you watch the movie again, pay a little more attention to what the boy was talking about. He was telling us that he knows they're out there because of the music he hears. Just like when he said he can "hear" them and knows that they loved music like him. That is why at that part of this song, through the music he felt his parent's presence( far fetched, but it's a movie), so that is why he turns around and smiles at them. He never met his parents but he knew it was them. :)

  • @Death2You ............thank you :)

  • or with that guy... if she ends up with him

  • lovelovelovelovelovelove

  • I luv this music.....Michelle Kwan should skate to this, do her straight line footwork at 5:23, spirals at 6:31, then spin cycle and finally, a triple axel to end the song. That will give her the highest score in the history of figure skating.

  • I love the moment when she suddenly feels that the music is "calling" her because August's Rhapsody just sounds like the one she was playing at the beginning of the film, and she turns around and goes straight to the stage *-*

  • August Rush is simply one of the best movie I have ever seen!

  • por favor 10 personas son unos huevones y ni saben de musica, esos ni siquiera han ido al colegio no saben de musica y en cima son 10, por favor que el mundo no se haci

  • unrealistic only because the second he turned around he would be receiving the loudest applause known to man. i love this piece

  • 10 people dont know their ass from their ears

  • 10 people don't know a thing about emotion in music, they must listen to Rap an R&B, an that Hippidy Hop crap

  • 10 people don't know anything about music...

  • the phrase "chills me to the bones" comes to mind.

  • music is beautiful lil gurl stike beast

  • Apartir del 4:33 ame la rapsodia <3

  • ok =)..

  • yes!!! ahora la niña... ni se diga... todo es hermoso... la descargas... vi solo una parte " como las otras" ...

  • I DREAM...=)))

  • TU SUEÑOOOO.... SUEñAAAA... SUEñAAA... vere ese instrumento muy pronto en tus manos... alegraras maaaas el corazonn de tu padre..

  • This little guy's conducting is so amazing, not professional at all, but he knows the howto, and he has a personal style that I really like. Also, his mimic is fantastic at the allegros (fast parts). Now I want to conduct :>

  • this is the kind of music that needs no lyrics. it speaks for itself. there is constant change, i love this.

  • i seriously cried unconsciously through this movie. it was so beautiful. this is why i love instrumental so much better than bands and singers.

  • Goosebumps.....that's all i can say!

  • This film is so amazing, possibly my favorite ever. For the reasons: Music, Love, Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Mhmmmmmmmm!

  • this is soo beautiful but the movie needed a family hug or like a 2 yr later or something!

  • @umiiAfro

    My sentiments exactly!

  • @umiiAfro They really did. The ending pissed me off. Love the movie though :)

  • I love this scene and the scene when his mom and dad meet. And I love how they have never met their son yet some how they just know that that is their son up there on the stage. And some how he know's those are his parents. c:

  • 0:00 Replay button

  • Imagine what the contract for this and the church scene would have been...

Okay, we need eighteen black guys to be in a choir, one of them as to be a kid with an amazing voice.

  • MUSIC IS EVERYWHERE YOU GO, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LISTEN <3 fav qoute from the moviee

  • does anyone know who acutaly wrote the song?

  • @nazarito97 Mark Mancina

  • @nazarito97 wiki knows, Composer Mark Mancina spent over a year and a half composing the score of August Rush.......The final theme of the movie was composed first......

  • This is a wonderful metaphor on how music brings people together.. :)

  • Our hearts are connected. If you look inside and feel it, you will find your friends and family and all the people that are in your heart as much as you're in theirs.

  • perfeito.

  • That shiver when you hear that something so moving......

  • this movie really inspires me in my everyday, moves me in such ways that are indescribable....
