@steflondon88 If you watch the movie again, pay a little more attention to what the boy was talking about. He was telling us that he knows they're out there because of the music he hears. Just like when he said he can "hear" them and knows that they loved music like him. That is why at that part of this song, through the music he felt his parent's presence( far fetched, but it's a movie), so that is why he turns around and smiles at them. He never met his parents but he knew it was them. :)
