Hulking, blue, not-Skeletor wearing giants pants and huge smashing weapons =/= calculated and agile.. He really just looks ridiculous. Not quite as ridiculous as War, but still pretty silly. There's so much that a talented artist could do with the "traditional" interpretation of Death and still make it look fitting in this kind of game, but they took the Rob Liefeld approach instead. Sad to see.

@MrPrototypz The general idea is to use as little polygons as possible. No game would run on any PC if they just used high poly models. So, your argument about polygon count is null and void. Secondly, if by using less resources Darksiders still manage to look much better than MW3, than it's a good thing. Plus, you are confusing here graphics and aesthetics. So go back to the school you clearly never finished and stfu about things you don't have first clue about.

Agreed. The Witcher 2 has the best graphics I've ever seen, and it's a fantasy game. In fact, fantasy games tend to have the best graphics, because I find it more appealing, in terms of escapism, to look at exotic scenery than dirt and buildings that I can see in real life. Agood example is Borderlands. The change to a cell-shaded art style made the game look so much better.

The style has a lot to do with how appealing a game looks and how long it lasts. Also, this is coming from a modern gamer. There's only 2 real sides between this: Smart gamers and stupid games. Period.
