My only real problem with Operation Flashpoint is that my character always felt really stiff. The animations made me feel like I was stiff, along with the run and sprint animations. I don't mind everything being slower paced when compared to games like Battlefield, but it's the movements and "feel" of my soldier that makes me feel like I'm walking in a solid rubber suit.
This game sucks brought it for £5 of my mate and then traded it in at game for £1.60 so i lost out! I wanted to sell it on ebay but no one was bidding 99p for this game! I hate the controls and graphics are awful! Stick to Battlefield and Call Of Duty!
too many icons on the screen in gameplay makes it look not very realistic at all- boheimia and arma 2 blow this game away- nice try by codemasters tho
@allenwixted1992 If you have a computer that can run Arma 2 well, buy Arma 2. TBH this game isn't half bad at all. Online on xbox facing enemy squads is super intense and its pretty much the only game that gives me a real adreniline rush.
I've played Arma and 2 and they are great, but i don't have the computer to run them at full speed.
codemaster though they would create something better if they dropped the realism for a more action-oriented gameplay (due to cod-popularity i presume)

It is recommend to find a group of good player to play with, just randomly joining a server will be pretty annoying. I believe it's up to 8 people online. It's a co-op game rather than being against real people, so all your enemies are bots and you are doing missions together with your team-mates, from what I can see it takes alot of skill and working as a team is the main feature of the game.. I think I'ma get this at the end of the week =]

i love flying in this game. me and my friends always get the black hawk. me piloting and them on the mini-guns and we do strafe runs and take down entire squads. but the problem is that the helicopters can go down in..like...4 shots..kinda sad

This game is more realistic than it's predecessors, CoD, and Modern Warfare 2. I've been through combat, and ballistics and AI are very realistic. Keep in mind that the gameplay is during pre-war. Not during all out war, so it's not going to be the same.

this game isnt very realistic. the commands and bullet drop are "real" but everything else is shit. firing on automatic 100 yards away standing up hitting all targets isnt very real. the way the weapons work in call of duty are far more realistic working. the guns in this game have no recoil besides the snipers. shoot your ai in the head and they dont die try it and tell me how real that is. this game isnt a good simulator. the "fancy commands" might make it seem that way but this game is shit

once again battle field 2 rules them all in gameplay and fun both dragon rising and arma 2 have nice graphic but u spend so much time going from point a to b before u see a little action then everything is over i smell boring , in battlefield 2 u have attack choppers engaging enmy tanks u have j-10 and f-35 dogfighting above u got transport choppers dropping troops behind enemy lines jeeps screaching up and down surface to air missles , and the commander dropping artillery barrage funfunfun

the PC version holds 16 vs 16 while console versions are 4 vs 4 with 3 bot AI's on each team

This game is more realistic than it's predecessors, CoD, and Modern Warfare 2. I've been through combat, and ballistics and AI are very realistic. Keep in mind that the gameplay is during pre-war. Not during all out war, so it's not going to be the same.

this is sorta like bad company...but bad company's just a lot better...the sounds and graphics arent all that great, seems realistic and all but that game play looks a little boring, sounds like they only talk Russian also...that can get kinda annoying after a while

Sniping is this is great once you get used to it. I thought it was hard at first.
Yeah you can hide in bushes. if it's not a hardcore game you will show up on a map though. But yeah man, I advise you get it if you like sniping.

lol i wasted 60 bucks on COD4. COD3 was by far the best FPS i've ever played. but activsion ruined the series becuase they got money greedy. when COD4 was released i was sad in one fal swoop they had destroyed the series for me.

WAR SIMULATOR????LOL, ...oh really so no recoil on Guns, shorter time to reload your machine gun in COD than this game, takes a year ust to use your binoculars if you get to work & not lag, a hundred shots to kill an enemy(with a standard rifle) a year to use your grenade(usually standing in front of your enemies thinking that your grenade will work fast but then u realize how slow and stupid it is to use it) driving the car is like driving a boat & this is suppose to be your simulator? look past the bugs im sure their going to patch this game up soon as for the time it takes to take out your binoculars and grenades thats just like real life it takes time when i played this game it was FULL of bugs i would throw a grenade and it wouldnt blow up i would also shoot like 30 rounds but 5 would come out i enjoyed this game alot but the bugs pissed me off!

People just want to run around like loose canons ie Killzone 2, but this is different, you rely on your vision, TEAM, shooting skills, sound... Trust me this game is sooo realistic...! if you're looking to join the armed forces or considering it, then have a go at this...!

this game isnt very realistic. the commands and bullet drop are "real" but everything else is shit. firing on automatic 100 yards away standing up hitting all targets isnt very real. the way the weapons work in call of duty are far more realistic working. the guns in this game have no recoil besides the snipers. shoot your ai in the head and they dont die try it and tell me how real that is. this game isnt a good simulator. the "fancy commands" might make it seem that way but this game is shit

look, cod4 was NEVER intended to be a simulation in anyway. they never bragged about being the most realistic game or watever, but OF2 does. they also say how "down to the bolts themselves are replicated". also if u prefer cod over this then be my guest, just dont come here to say its better than this game just cuz its "fast paced". no body cares
