  • don't you even try one more time denying that you are gorgeous...I mean you really got the total package (nice vids, martial artist, humorous, handling firearms and knives, cool dog, studying etc.) ;-) go on and keep it real anyways!! ;-) !!!

  • O.m.g. It has a round hole... No bueno

  • and truly a beautiful, pocket knife. has a very sharp blade not recommended, for the defense as very small. much better than a combat knife. But congratulations for your video, you are very pretty

  • MANNNNNNNNNNNNNN now i'm jonsin for a BLT something fierce! oh yeah and the knife was cool too lol

  • I have a Benchmade 550HG Griptilian, I love it. I am planning on buying a blue 555HG Mini-Griptilian to complement my 550HG sometime. You made a good choice with the 555HG Mini-Griptilian.

  • I recommend the spyderco sharpmaker. That knife is heirloom quality:)

  • I want some bacon! :-)

  • I can get that in auto :)

  • damn you could probably perform surgery with that thing

  • Your personality is infectious.... btw, as good as the BM mini grips are let me suggest the spyderco paramilitary 2 as your next knife purchase...

  • AWww, one of my videos links to this at the end, and this video is how I found Fateofdestinee and it was a mini griptillian video and I was like "FUCK YEAHHH BENCHMADE AND WOMEN"

  • Never before have I seen someone have so much fun with cherry tomatoes lol

  • Great knife choice and fun video. NEVER apologize for your love of bacon, but otherwise keep up the good work, you just got a new sub.

  • @k1ngkoo0pa Lol well thankyou - for the support and the sub.

  • Cool review! The blade looks a little like my new Pacific Salt II. I got it because it can't rust, and it'll be perfect for diving. I'm taking it out kayaking tomorrow. All that food made me hungry! When you're ready to get sharpening stuff, find virtuovice on youtube and learn about stropping. If you strop often, you won't have to hone the knife, and it'll last forever. Wish I could find a girl like you who likes knives.

  • @aTellerOfTruths That's great! And lol I ate the bacon right after I finished recording. Those plums were awesome too... Thanks for the recommendation ;] And they're out there!

  • Nice knife! The BM Grips are really nice knives:)

  • @darkchild57 Thanks. I was pleased with the purchase. I still get great use out of it.

  • The Benchmade Triage is a very good EDC blade too. Check it out.

  • @fmonk I have seen that one... looks like a really cool knife. It's on the "list" lol

  • @FateofDestinee On my list too. Too many toys, too little money.

  • Another good EDC choice is the KERSHAW SKYLINE thats an awesome EDC blade I just got one a few days ago and love it I recommend it to everyone.....LATER!!!

  • @shooter308243 When I was researching what to pick up, I found many people recommend the Kershaw Skyline for an EDC blade - you're not alone in that opinion ;] Thanks for the suggestion! And thanks for watching.

  • Hi! Great video. It's nice to see reviews by normal people sometimes, that don't claim to be complete experts. I notice that you were pretty careful not to contact the glass cutting board. If you value your edge, you will throw away the glass and use only plastic or wood. Otherwise you will just be able to use it for a butter knife. If it's a plastic board, please disregard.

  • @uzi75020 I haven't thrown out the glass, but I do have a big fat plastic cutting board. You can see that one in my Emerson CQC - 7AW review ;] Thanks for the advice, and thanks for watching!

  • Hey I carry the exact knife but a black handle. I really like the thumb hole for opening, and their Axis Lock system is really sturdy. That 154CM steel hold an edge really well. Mine has been part of my EDC for around 8-9 months now and I have only had to sharpen it a few times.

For a sharpener, look into the Spyderco Sharpmaker. Its a little pricey, but will but a GREAT edge on any knife, and is well worth the investment. Don't waste your money on one of those "quick sharpeners".

    Nice vid!

  • @glock19x300 I like the thumb hole, too. I've gotten pretty quick with the deploy, now. I ended up picking up the Smith sharpener and I'm pretty pleased with it. (I definitely agree with you on that "quick sharpener" - I'd rather either send it to Benchmade or learn how to do it myself, you know?) Thanks for watching :D

  • @FateofDestinee Yea for sure, you can learn super easy, the Spyderco Sharpmaker comes with an instructional DVD. The quick sharpeners are ok, but only work well for a very limited types of edges/grinds... and I feel they take off too much steel. Just my opinion.

  • @glock19x300 That's pretty handy. I'm very new to sharpening, but I agree - the quick sharpeners just don't seem to get the edge I'm looking for.

  • Don't sharpen it yourself. Benchmade has LifeSharp. Keep the box and download the LifeSharp form from their web site and send it in with $5. It will come back cleaned, oiled, and factory sharpened. Hard steel is difficult to sharpen. Trust me.

  • @gsxrjarrod Yep, that's just the info they package with the knife :D Thanks for watching!

  • With that hat on, you look a little like the YouTube user Elmify.

  • @ryangi5 I see she has a similar hat... nifty :]

  • +1 for Benchmade Griptillian. Had mine for almost 3 years.... its been back to Benchmade a couple times for repair.... it survived a motorcycle crash and a year in Iraq and everyday in my pocket.

  • @Navyguy0023 That's an impressive record! Hope mine does as well :D Thanks for watching.

  • The girl @ the shop where I get my knives rocks the pink mini griptillian, I have the black tanto version, aww yea

  • @MPSecare Rockin' ;D I still carry this one sometimes, although I have developed a preference for my Emerson.

  • I'm not sure if you bought a sharpener yet, but the Gatco Diamond kit is able to get my Benchmade Mini-Grip D2 surgical sharp! Far, far sharper than just shaving-sharp.

And about the bacon, I live two minutes from Oscar Mayer but I must tell you there is FAR better bacon!

Nueskies bacon from here in Wisconsin is World Famous, as in people from outside the States mail order the stuff! Nueskies bacon will ruin everything you think you know about bacon! You will never be able to eat Oscar Mayer!

  • @WisconsinEric Awesome! I'm not a terribly picky bacon lover, but I'm always up for trying more bacon! For sharpening, for my first kit, I picked up a Smith sharpening set. I'll look into the Gatco Diamond though, thanks for the tip!

  • I want some bacon! ha, why do your videos always make me hungry? i gotta wonder, how much do you spend on food for each video. Lol jk ; )

  • @TacticalAngel86 Heheh actually, not too bad considering that I eat the food after the vid, so it just kind of gets built into my regular grocery bill lol I do love bacon, though... seriously... I've eaten whole packages by myself more than a lady cares to admit XD

  • hey, i don't think you match enough. Lol jk! i got the full size in black, i'm actually carrying it today with my CRKT m-16 as back up.

  • @TacticalAngel86 Lol... I still carry this one a whole lot, still sharp, too!

  • Nice review and good to see a lady that loves knives ^^

  • @MrHALOCOUST Well thank you, kindly :]

  • I like the color.

  • @raimundough Thanks! Me too.

  • BACON STRIPS :)

  • @troy5690 AND BACON STRIPS, AND BACON STRIPS! XD

  • @DeleteMeOnline No, haven't seen that trick. Time to YouTube it! lol

  • You still look like Rebecca Black.

  • I Love bacon too LOL, not to mention your awesome enthusiasm and color scheme... Cool Vid Destinee.... Thanks for the smile.... Blessings and as always.... Cheers.

  • @ohoh00007 Thanks, Tony. :] I'm happy you enjoy my vids.

  • @ohoh00007 Thanks, Tony. :] I'm happy you enjoy my vids.

  • @ohoh00007 Thanks, Tony. :] I'm happy you enjoy my vids. Thank you for watching!

  • I just googled the perfect woman and this vid came up. Nice blade, you fondle knives like a champ.

  • @PillowDood lol thank you.

  • @Strix19 Me too! haha Thanks for watching ;]

  • lol huge leap from $3 pocket knives to a benchmade =P, the precision, the steel, the locking mechanism... ur gonna love this thing, they just don't break and hold an edge fairly well

  • @3antaralhatab lol yeah, it was a bit of a price jump. But I feel it was well worth it. I don't know how I got along without one!

  • @FateofDestinee oh yeh, i know its well worth it, the precision and quality of benchmades is pretty hard to beat, i've used the large griptillian for roughly 1.5 yrs, retired it only because i got the CSAR-t lol, still plenty of life in it.

  • @3antaralhatab I believe it! I can't wait to get more Benchmades ;D haha

  • good luck in the idol contest!

  • @dirteReviews Thanks! Looks like I'll find out within the week if I made it through the first round. ;]

  • Great knife and awesome review!! Good luck w/ the "Tactical Idol" I think you'd be a great choice. Might want to work on the tomato dropping though. LMAO

  • @GunznGear Haha thank you. It would be fun to get to the next level. Either way, I enjoyed recording this little review. Thanks for checking it out. And yeah... my tomato aim needs some help :p I just need more knives to practice! :p

  • Nice choice! That same mini grip was my first "real" knife also. It snowballed from there. :D

  • @assyrian Thanks! And I totally understand that sentiment... It seems the more knives I learn about, the more I want tp buy haha

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks for showing us your grapefruit.

  • @TheMotorick lolz

  • You should have got it in emo black and then it would have done all the cutting for you!

  • @friskyrabbit bahahahaha...

  • The next time you're attacked by physics papers you'll be all set!

  • @Peidmonte89 Lol sorry about that - I'm still working on that :p And thanks! I'm still excited (as I'm sure you probably noticed lol). ...Now I want more Benchmades, though >.<

  • That knife is almost as cute as you! Dang where'd you find the huge 'tater??

  • @randude1 haha Thanks :] I found it in the produce at my grocery store - they called it a "baking potato."

  • I don't know what looks hotter the knife or the girl...I'll take the girl.

    Pretty good knife though.

  • @MrVegaslive lol aww thank you.

  • cool girl doing a cool review

  • i love my mini grip

  • @WilliamVultaggio It's a fantastic little blade, no?

  • @FateofDestinee Its my baby

  • @WilliamVultaggio Mine too! As far as knives go, at least. ;]

  • Glorious

  • @TMHoncrack102 XD I'm glad you think so.

  • Benchmades are pretty much the answer to most things in life.

  • @blinddesolation This is what I'm finding... that, and bacon. :p

  • great video!

  • @hchnm Thankya ;D

  • Damn it! I thought I was the first one to use bacon to win Grebner's vote. LOL nice vid.

  • @MrSurgicalPrecision Lol sorry, bro. Funnier thing was, I didn't know Tex liked bacon til after I posted the vid. I just threw it in there because *I* love it. I wanted an excuse to cook up some that night, despite having already eaten dinner lol But thanks - I liked your entry, too. Good luck w/ the competition!

  • It really take a women to do cut test using vegetable. Thumb up for the originality!

  • @newtubetubetube Lol thanks :]

  • Awesome review there! And yes, even knives are better with bacon! ;D Lol!

I LOVE my grip, I've hat it for about 3 years now, and it's still goin' strong as ever! These knives with there 154CM blades sharpen up GREAT. I'm lovin' the blue as well. And i love the food prep! Lol, very unique. A refreshing change :) Keep it up!

    Dan.

  • @sherman614 Haha true story! I'm glad to hear how yours is holding up. Blue is my fave ;] I wanted to put the blade into action and thought that would be a fun way to do it. Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching, Dan.

  • how did you get the little watermark at the bottom of your vid?

  • @The45Reason My video editing software lets me include stuff like that. ;] I upgraded a couple of weeks ago, but I'm still learning how to use it.

  • LOL i cut up my homework also

  • @NMSknives That class was beastly... but I got my revenge! lol

  • I think it only fair to warn you, young lady, that I shall be making no allowance for your tender years, or gender when I crush you and the other misguided souls who are attempting to usurp my preogative and assume my mantle as the most Tactical human on the planet. You have been warned....

  • @kiwitedferny Well, good luck Ted, I checked out your vid too. As a woman of a tender age, I can really appreciate a man of your age running and such. Best of luck to you, I'll be sure and mention you in my acceptance speech. :p

  • @FateofDestinee 'Man of your age'....PPfffttttt. What YOU think is middle-aged male pattern baldness is in fact a solar panel from which I recharge my tactical cranial implant. It gives my brain night vision capability; my GPS co-ordinates; access to Police radio frequencies; and ballistics data such as air temperature and wind speed and direction. You have no chance. You should return to the kitchen immediately.

  • @kiwitedferny You forgot to mention chest pain, palpitations and a prescrip for viagra..LOL

  • @kiwitedferny Just checked out your vids on your channel...wow ...nice. Being that I'm a history buff and am into WWII specifically, you get lots of respect from me for your genuine interest in preserving history and honoring the technology of the time. And man, do you ever have an awesome gun and memorabilia collection! As as watched your vids though, I saw a number of very familiar clips haha ...like maybe I've seen them before :p What's up with that?? lol

  • @FateofDestinee It's called 'recycling'. Just trying to reduce my carbon footprint as per the Kyoto Agreement..:) There are going to be some BIG WW2 firearms vids on the way shortly. I'm just waiting for the arrival of a new shippment of goodies. Glad you enjoy the vids.

  • @kiwitedferny Just so you you know, my dad was drooling over your "man-cave" lol I was less impressed... I didn't see any tactical kitchen gear in there :p

  • @FateofDestinee The 'tactical cooking' aspect will be covered in my next vid....:)

  • you def won tex with the bacon lol.

  • @StiThis1 What's funny is that I had no idea he was so crazy for it until after I had posted this... As I read through the comments on it, I was thinking, "WIN!" lol

  • It took about 5 minutes for me to notice the little picture on the bottom right. Good job being sneaky.

  • @murphi14 lol ya got me! You're the first to say anything about it haha

  • @FateofDestinee Well don't I feel special, haha! Nice video by the way, and that's a great blade choice!

  • @murphi14 Heheh... and thanks on both. :D Glad you enjoyed it.

  • You make great videos my friend!!

  • @Mr45Bullitt Thanks much! I can say the same thing of you ;]

  • I don't get it. Why does a women, need a pocket knife? I have an assortment of quality kitchen cutlery that you might be interested in. Please have your man send me a PM if you're interested.

  • That is a great choice, and a cool blade shape. Congrats on your first EDC knife, and good luck in the contest.

  • @DemonHide Thanks! I'm way happy with the purchase. I've only seen one judge's review, but I did pretty well there. My fingers are crossed while the others are pending ;D

  • I see you are color coordinated with the knife!! Nice review and good luck!

  • @Waverip11 Haha, well... what can I say, I love blue!

  • Great review. I am glad you are enjoying the Mini Grip!

  • @edgedweapon88 Thanks much for the suggestion! You were right - it was worth the extra cash.

  • It's awesome having a good carry knife! I have a KA-BAR Dozier that's really worked well for me! A bit similar to your blade design on your Benchmade! God video! =)

BTW-Your bill is on the way today! Sorry for the delay...I'm soooo tired!!!! =()

  • @rugersix I do love the Ka-Bars. They are some fantastically strong knives. And thanks! No prob.

  • Awesome cut test!

  • @oromoto It was fun AND delicious! heheh the bacon was gone within about an hour after I finished recording lolz

  • Wow awsome entry!

  • @recon1s14 Thanks! :D

  • @FateofDestinee Welcome! :)

  • So! If you order now you not only get the Benchmade Mini-Griptilian but just for you select few viewers you also get the matching rustic tactical toaster and no additional cost! Shipping and handling fees may apply. Offer not real and you will pay more if you live in the following states: CA.

Love the video, best knife review I've seen in a very long time! Looking forward to more reviews!

  • @TacticalPhotog lolz... and thanks for watching! I have more in the works ;]

  • I just saw on Benchmade's website that you can now customize a Grip or Mini Grip. You can choose different scales, blades, clips, lock types, and more. And the prices don't change unless you move up to a better steel. Check it out.

    benchmade (dot) com / customize

  • @eje1079 That is way cool! Thanks so much for showing me that link.

  • @FateofDestinee No problem. I thought it was pretty badass and thought you'd like it.

  • @eje1079 It is most definitely bad ass... I want to buy another knife just to get to design it >.<

  • @FateofDestinee It's just too bad you cant get it cheaper than msrp. :-(

  • Cool video!

  • @762x51n8o Thanks!

  • Yes, bacon was harmed in this video! :-)

  • @imgaryk For the greater good... my belly. :D

  • Nice review Destinee...you're a bright spot here on YT. Speakin of bacon...I just made my version of the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger...recipe courtesy of OldChevy4X4 and Krazy45cat...First day grillin outside this year and DAMN they were good!!!...I highly recommend everyone to check them out!

  • @dbower921 Thanks much :D That sounds totally delicious right now... It got up to 60 degrees out here for the first time this year! It was so gorgeous, I had to take a walk. My fam will probably start grilling pronto haha

  • Good stuff girl! I love your enthusiasm in your videos, makes it really fun to watch! =)

Oh and thanks, now I have to go and make a bacon sandwich after watching this, haha!

I have an old video where I use one of my Benchmades with the 154cm blade steel to murder a strawberry... I thought about sending it over to you since your video here reminds me of that fun time I had, haha!

Enjoy using your new blade, I love that color blue the use on the handle too.

  • @X4CTO Thank you much! I'll have to go check out your strawberry murder lol And it was some crazy delicious bacon, no lie. ;] I did prefer the blue to the other color options... it's my favorite. So far, I'm loving the Mini-Grip. Thanks for checking out my vid!

  • You're very welcome! =)

That video of mine is called "Bali and the Berry"

I have several videos cutting up fruits... I love fruits... and bacon, haha!

Yeah it's a good color blue, and the Griptilians are good blades... my sister carries a full size Grip with the rust proof X-15 blade steel... I have a video on that too, haha. I think I might have a video on just about everything, LMAO!

Glad to watch, it was my pleasure!

  • You need an Emerson next!

  • @FrenziedCalm I'll look into it!

  • @FrenziedCalm yes, I agree! :P more bacon

  • @spsilvgo lol bacon for everyone! :D

  • @Ziva4Freedom And thank you right back!
