GET A MACBOOK ALLUMINUM 2.4 Ghz its so much better they should reduce the amount of money for this laptop like maybe a thousand dollars and it wouldnt hurt to make it slightly thicker for a cd drive whatver ill give it 6 out of 10 because u should just get the new macbook!

if you have the money for it, I would suggest a MacBook pro. It is a very versituleachine such can double ad a desktop and as a laptop. Also if you run bootcamp and buy a copy of windows, you would have a nice gaming machine.

I would suggest to wait until the end of October for your new MacBook pro, because new models are supposed to come out then.

im getting a mac mini by next year which is a long way but im excited for it.well wht i had to say about this video is its ok but i think u should consider about the mac book air like its good but few things r missing but like nothings wrong with the design nd they also provide u a superdrive to let u play dvd or burn a cd.i believe the superdrive should also have a usb port to plug in ur camera,ipod,etc.

its not a surprise, the macbook air is basically a publicity stunt by apple to show what they can do. its not practical at all with an outrageous price tag and no good specs. no ports. no optical drive, which is a big deal. its how software is primarily transfered. its a con from apple at best.

Yes I can. The MBA was designed as an 'on the go' laptop, and this was what I needed to take notes and do other school related projects at school. My back has been compromised (according to my doctor), due to the fact I carried my MBP everywhere I went. Now I just my Mac Book Air. Although I think Apple should have made the price 1599, because the I/O is disappointing and the hard drive space is miniscule.

I find the MBA perfect for my situation.

I think you're too nice for the macbook air. I mean it is very expensive and what do you get for it? A slow computer with a small HD, no optical drive and you can't connect anything. very, very little bang for buck. What do you get? A very thin computer, like, damn my MBP is so thick and heavy I just cannot carry it around anywhere. The MBA is useless imo.

you wanted it to have firewire? are u kidding me! this computer was not made to do any sort of thing that would involve firewire cabled products. while it is very speedy, it is still the slowest mac available. its a mac SUBNOTEBOOK not a Macbook Pro. i agree though that they could have had at least 2 usb instead of 1. but yea. firewire doesnt go with this machine. thats like putting a cd drive in a printer. like why? it cant use it.

Nothing is slow. Minor horizontal tearing occurs when I use the dock, but other than that nothing is slow. Its actually performs quite fast considering the tech specs.
