  • YOU SAY "Nobody knows who it's aimed at" obviously this can't be true because why send a signal if there's nobody to listen to it. Would you get in your car and DRIVE TO NOWHERE?

  • Its mix of both Arabic and English.

    Tlat = 3

    Eser = 10

The accent is average Egyptian. I can translate the number sequence if you really want me to...

  • I know its an old, but what if the numbers were aimed at the splinter groups for starting the uprise in Egypt? every number is like a word.

  • Dudes this is Italian, or some kind of Old portuguese, maybe paquistanese, u can hear numbers, maybe a location??? really!!!

  • @NOnCRANe Hey, how do you mean Italian? all in English.

  • @mikesndbs dosent sound like it, the number 2 sounds like "dos" (from latin language) and 0 souds like "sero" (like in italy)

the location i was mencioning might just be a coordenate, just sayin

  • I'm a shortwave DXer and have heard these number stations before. The ones I heard were in Spanish. Probably were related to the drug cartels or spying activities in the Americas.

  • i dont know the number sevenah at 2:55 or all other numers with ah after them but i know the number seven

  • @TheMW2informer also if iwas him i would get on ham and say i donot read i dont know the number sevenah.

NOTE: I dont know much bout this stuff but i wonder if you could do that please reply!

  • @TheMW2informer No. Thats the whole idea. Nobody would listen. its a oneway communication. Besides. The transmitter is using somthing like 500KW transmitting power. A ham radio would at best go up to somthing like 50W or so. Its a computerized voice and your transmission would never be recived by the numbers station. Dont bother trying to track them down. Its very hard to trace and youd just end up outside a facility with military or an embassy.

  • these are all curiosities, because sometimes you wonder what they are doing and why on there

is there any signal that comes in steady?

  • @MichaelHansenFUN Some can be very strong! others very weak just recently one of the biggest stations vanished! that was E10

  • Nice video! Thanks for sharing!

  • @VoxPandemonium Most welcome :-)

  • @mikesndbs What reciver would be best for number station reciving?

  • wtf this is like black ops shit right hurr hahaha. Wheres Mason when u need him hahahahaha

  • @13urning101 LOL yes my friend its all real and has been for many years, just google numbers stations or look here for more videos

  • @mikesndbs lol i was up for like 6 hours listening to these things, and watching about these russian spies who got captured in the us. very interesting stuff.

  • @13urning101 :-) it is interesting for sure, I have a dedicated web site for it, mail me here if you would like the link

  • I had been listening to shortwave radio for almost 17 years and I always find interesting and unusual shortwave radio stations I never heard of or is in the background of the shortwave radio station I am listening to. it is very common to get an unusual shortwave radio station.

  • I've also heard things just like this, only in Spanish. Spooky.

  • I've also heard things just like this, only in Spanish. Spooky,

  • @fitzwarine09 Yes that is from Cuba known as V02a

  • The one from Egypt sounds like a cat...

    No, seriously.

  • Congratulations,Mike, for this video !!! It is fantastic,as any way to study this oddities on shortwave.Greetings

  • Thanks, glad you like it :-)

  • Great Vid! Definately can tell you are tuning between 2:18 & 2:45. Have you ever used any TEN TEC equipment?

Now it could all end! check out UKQRM

  • Hi Mike, used to love listening to number stations as a kid back in the early 80's, Never come cross one for years now, do they still exist ??

  • Oh yes they do :-) check out the links in the info text of this video

  • Me two as a kid in the 80's also

  • @rayfox62 They serve no purpose other than to tie up resources with people trying to decode nd trace them.

  • I have never heard E25. It is strange that the numbers are read out so slowly. Also, it almost sounds like a live voice broadcast and not an automated system. Who knows?

  • Hi! well the Enigma 2000 group has done loads of work on E25 and you will find a whole page about it on my web site.

Look in this videos description for the address

  • I keep hearing numbers stations in spanish, it's rare, but whenever I pick it up it's always Spanish

  • Hi, not at all! V02a is the one you are hearing from Cuba, there is also one sent out by the Russian networks.

  • Nice one Mike - interesting and very well produced

  • Thanks :-)

  • Nice one my friend. Thanks. During E11 you could already hear the E25 lady. For a non-numbers knowing viewer/listener it could sound like a cat or baby crying, till you turned onto E25, where the lady came in very clear. Oh yes, and there just came WYFR and afterwards Radio Polonia.

  • Hey Jochen, thanks for your comments!
