@TallBrooklynGuy No he went there before him and waited cuz he knew he would go there to plant the evidence. Thats why he made it a point to tell him the DA needed more evidence. So its not coincidental it was a setup. If you watch more of this show you notice the ending is the same on every episode.

Is that tall blonde guy (in the maroon top and light brown/white pants in the last scene)really Barry Van Dyke's son? He looks very similar to the young man who Steve was trying to help in the episode at the sports gym.

Yep. He's Shane Van Dyke. And he looks similar to that young man because he did play that young man. I thought that was interesting because I didn't know Shane had played a character other than Alex (on Diagnosis: Murder, that is). Now, Barry's oldest son, Carey, has played multiple different characters on here, never staying with the same one, unlike Shane.
