This is one of their best songs. I thought after all this time it might not affect me, that it would seem dated, but the poignant feeling I get when I hear it is, well. it's the same.
vu en première partie d'Alice Cooper en 1975 à Baltard avec mon frère, j'avais 14 ans j'adore....je cherche leur album depuis bien longtemps....trouvé enfin au USA...encore 10 jours de patience...rock and roll.....
the sound of an acoustic guitar and the drum in this particular song is outstanding and this number become superb, plus the strenght voices of the singer, no doubt, just magnificient!
This great song originally are written and performed by a Argentine band called Vox Dei in 1969, Vox Dei are a great hard rock in the seventies, Danny Peyronel heard these song when lived in Buenos Aires maybe.
@gipsy70castle Hi! You're right! I heard the song as a young boy in B.A and liked it. Later, end of 1973 in London, as we were putting together material for our first album, I thought I'd try to write some English lyrics to it. I didn't have a copy of the Vox Dei version with me, so the actual chords and melody ended up a little different, but, I think, worked. I credited Ricardo Soulé on the album as the original composer of the music, of course. He visited and we became friends. Still are!
Hatterpower I saw em supporting Alice at the Liverpool empire on the same tour...they were bleedin brilliant....went out and bought their records the next day.

This is an outstanding band. I was naive in thinking that I could never find any of their songs through you tube.
I'm a product of being a teenager during the '70s. I was a big fan of the Heavy Metal Kids.
