Doesn't the nxt only have 3 outputs? How did you get all the functions to work. Looks like 5 functions. Spin excavator top, 2 tracks, 2 dig functions.

@eaxnitro Yes the NXT has only 3 motor outputs, 2 of which I used for the track treads, and the third for the raising / lowering of the whole arm. To extend the functionality I used the Mindsensors servo controller which plugs into one of the sensor ports on the NXT, and used 3 servos. There are actually 3 dig functions. Thanks for watching :)

Thankyou, it also allowed the arm angle to be controlled, rather than just raise a bit, lower a bit as with the linear actuator. :)

Very nice! How many extra servos did you have, and what type were they? The power came from the NXT box or extra battery pack? Any more info anywhere?

Thankyou. I used two HS422 servos and one micro servo from Mindsensors. The servo power came from the battery pack behind the NXT on the rear of the model. I have posted some photos and description to the Mindsensors Yahoo group.
