UI looks rather dull. Navigation through the socialize bar there at the bottom seem to be efficient enough but I don't rally buy the lots of panels / plenty of icons on the bottom one / multiple of options for each contact.
There must be a better way of doing this? MeeGo multiple screens one for each kind of task or WP tiles with the information at hand from screen one for as fast access but I think it looks more tidy?
Is this a design by choice to keep up with some older UI style?

The reason is is not coming out for the Storms is it is created to work with a capacitive touch screen and I guess will not be too smooth with the Storms which is a shame as I have a Storm 1 + 2 but I can see this working well on the new Torch and whatever else RIM have up their sleeves.

@pixcellz apple has never pioneered an OS, a user interface, or even introduced anything new to the phone industry. Also, the whole about pioneering Os's and UI's applies to there computers as well
@1TuBeR09 unfortunately, that model will not be included in the OS update. You need to understand that RIM is targeting models that are able to withstand the OS animations and processes. the OS will be modified to run for Bold 9700 and 9650 and the Pearl 3G. That is all i know.

@1TuBeR09 unfortunately, that model will not be included in the OS update. You need to understand that RIM is targeting models that are able to withstand the OS animations and processes. the OS will be modified to run for Bold 9700 and 9650 and the Pearl 3G. That is all i know.

Get your shit together. Last I checked it wasn't supposed to be and I don't think the enterprises give a shit about that either. They're too busy buying RIM products for their corporations and business users to care about the iPhone and it's iBooks.
Consumers (iPhone's and Android's) target are different than Enterprise (RIM's target). Don't mix the two. BB is too rooted in business to be challenged by the likes of Apple or Google.

why is everyone hating on RIM? they're just catching up with current technology. blackberrys have usually been behind-the-times, but they were [usually] fast and stable, which is what RIM set out to do in the first place. now they just have to appeal to the consumer market to maintain competition.

Actually your nonsensical straw man is a very misleading comment in itself. Cover Flow was first implemented by a mac developer, then later bought by Apple. Apple didn't invent cover flow, but they definitely first implemented it, and therefore people are copying Apple regardless of who invented it.
