  • Gothic metal

  • Saw them on this tour. I think I was the only guy at the Slayer, Motorhead, Celtic Frost show that bought the Celtic Frost Tshirt. Man I'd love to live that night again.

  • Hieronymus Bosch - Garden of Earthly Delights

  • CELTIC FOREVER AND EVER!!! CELIC MESMERIZED ME!!!

  • @werdd909the2nd

It does have a metal/punk cross over feel to it, doesn't it?

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • First avant-garde metal song in history?

  • 5 people is mesmerized into the pandemonium

  • a timeless song for the aeons to come

  • Amazing drumming in this song!

  • This disturbes my dreams almost as profoundly as the vampire on SCTV's 3-D House of Beef.

  • Great album and their cover of Mexican Radio is a trip lol, I like Wall Of Voodoo.

  • yessss Rozzzzz

  • yes tje voice remember rozz williams

  • it sounds like that singer is crying :D

  • I could listen to this all day..

Everytime i hear this track it makes me feel like l am floating high above the Earth.

  • This song is so dark!

    Love it!

  • the most progressive band ever !

  • 2 Thumbs Up !!!

  • Inwaysion ov beysness ant sheyd!

  • Haven't heard this song in awhile! I always liked this album alot even tho many folks i know hated it . At least they had the balls too try somehting differnt but hell yeah, the early stuff is the best! Never got into their stuff after this( 'Cold lake" STILL makes me laugh! ) but i dig 'Monotheist' alot! Looking forward too their next opus! Celtic Frost RULES!!!!

  • @bizchazlien Celtic Frost disbanded unfortunately & this time for good but Tom's new band Triptykon is now afoot & an amazing force of it's own. Eparistera Daimones (debut album? picks up where Monotheist left off & is an even darker, heavier & more experimental venture. Saw them twice on their 1st US Tour (just a few days ago) & hadn't rocked that hard since seeing CF in 2006...

  • @jamesabilly thanks for the info.! Yeah, i just found out not too long ago about Tom Warriors new band! Pretty cool stuff indeed! Now i need too get off my ass and get their stuff . Always had a lot of respect for that dude . I need too get the Hellhammer collection as well . One of my old fave.s! Thanks again and happy new year man!

  • @bizchazlien You bet! Tom is one of my biggest musical influences & I'm always trying to spread the gospel. Happy New Year to you as well!

  • Amazing Christian Death influenced Gothic styled Avant garde metal!

  • @Amebixfan Never noticed til you pointed it out..I can sure hear it.

  • Man you are SO right referring to Rozz Williams and especially from Deathwish i guess...never thought about it 'til now.

  • Songs like that show the true talent of the musicians, which has nothing to do with mainstream bullshit, magazines, and the press..Outstanding lp..one of the best ever..!!!

  • actually this album sucks very bad compared to the three predecessors but i kinda like it

  • how annoying...what happened to this band!!

  • sigh, what the hell has happend to music today...

  • @silenthilldomain You sir, are a moron.

  • mesmerized is my favourite song from the

pandemonium...tohmas g is the N.1 composer in the world !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song from an under-rated album \m/ Thanks for posting.

    Ave

  • @CromsFist but not an underrated band

  • Thank you for posting this. I played this song in a cover band and this was always my favorite!!!

  • Great song--this is my favorite Celtic Frost song! The cover by Grave is pretty decent, too.

I hadn't heard this song until the very early 90's. Thanks to having just seen the movie, I pictured Jame Gumb (Silence of the Lambs) singing this song. Since then the thought stuck. Kinda ruins it and makes it creepier at the same time... :S

  • The most original but underrated album of all time...Celtic Frost have had a lot of courage to do a so special record, in an age where experiences in metal were unwelcome. For me, songs like "Tristesse de la Lune", "Mesmerized" and "Mexican Radio" are the best in the history of Metal.

  • @ThrashMetalHell ,yeah this album is really underrated

  • The people that didn't get the voice think more of a ghost dance in the land of the dead his voice isn't whiny it's a tormented soullooking back at the travisties of life.

  • the voice is pretty cool

  • love the voice

  • Greatest groove in metal this bands'rhythm sections are flawless you can't help getting into it.

  • Still heavy as hell after all these years! Just wish he had not gone with the whiny vocal style.

The bass line during the pre-chorus is nicely progressive. Love it!

  • One of the most truly intelligent and ambitious metal bands ever. Their vision was way beyond what their label understood and this album is a masterpiece. They did it all first on this album...orchestra, female vocals (on To Mega Therion, too), a vocal style other than the death grunt, beat sampling...this album was a blueprint for the future of this entire genre. They have never gotten quite the credit they deserve for the doors they opened. LOVE this song!

  • It's correct (if not 100% inclusive) to say that without Celtic Frost there would have never been such a divisive shift between Death/Doom/Black Metal. Easily, if I had a say in it, of one of the most influential albums ever. Too bad The Deftones covered their sound with Nu-Metal overtones and made all the money CF should have in the mid-late '90s.

  • Right on the money, Jedekai. Rock on.

  • i`m totally agree! its a masterpiece. i got my hands on this album 22 years ago, when i listen to it today i think it still kicks, and St Marks drumwork realy inspired me as a drummer

  • @Marqeteer totally agree one of the most innovative black metal bands ever....Bathory where very good too. Cradle of Filth etc have a lot to be thankful for

  • @Marqeteer very true. i wasn't a huge fan of all celtic frost stuff but this album is a ripper. probably their high watermark for me. still listen to this a lot.

  • Same thoughts This album remains mystery and unreachable for long time if not forever.

  • The vocals in this song remind me a little bit of Rozz Williams.

  • Never thought of that. You are right!!!

  • i looked up rozz williams on here to check him out, and was totally turned off by his faggoty voice. i watched an interview of his band christian death and they probably all fucked eachother.

  • wow I totally hear that!

  • @UnholyPanda13 Tom is an admitted fan of Christian Death, Sisters of Mercy & Bauhaus among other "goth" bands & was into them in the early mid 80's so you hit it on the head with that assessment. Celtic Frost was such an amazing & diverse band. Far ahead of their time & too cool to survive the trends of the 80's I suppose. Have you heard Triptykon? It's Tom's latest band & is more than a worthy successor to The CF Legacy...

  • @UnholyPanda13 and here I was gonna say the the talking-kind-of-singing reminded me of Mike Muir's style :p (but the voice itself is probably closer to Rozz Williams ha :p)

  • @UnholyPanda13

Haha, people comment that Rozz sounds like "the vocals on ITP" on this album on Christian Death videos.

  • @UnholyPanda13

id say more like "the cure".

  • @UnholyPanda13 Exactly what I thought

  • King diamond was a joke no?

  • You both are dillusional to think that he sounds like KD maybe you should take some kind of old school metal class or something

  • it sounds like King diamond singin xD

  • hell yeah I can see King Diamond in his voice lol now I have to listen to Welcome Home GRANDMAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

  • my favorite music :')

  • Burning tongues brought the rain.... The sand remained purified... Great song... Thanks for posting!

  • great song. actually, this is a great album, perhaps their best.

  • one of my favourites

  • superb song

  • awesome stuff!
