They have been fighting for power amongst them selves for 4 decades and this breeds the factionalism in the Palestinian street. It also breeds deadly horrific violance which they visit upon their own "brothers". It is impossible to address such an organization as Hamas with diplomatic and moral tools - especially when they have vowed to DESTROY YOU - and nothing more. Note that the west bank is VERY WELL OFF for the last 2.5 years. The Palestinian authority is strong there.

It's pretty clear what path Hamas chose to take and it is reflected in every aspect of their existance from their charter to their educational curriculum! It's impossible to maintain a solid moral behavior of non violance when confronted with fanaticism. While Israel's case can be straightened out by a strong base of support for the government, the Palestinian side is torn devided.

The partition agreement was REJECTED by the Arab world and the palestinians, and immediately they attacked within a few hours of the decleration of our independence. THis is why Israel has every right to exist on this territory! Many here believe the the 67 borders are, mostly, expendable and they have been offerred time and again!

I said I agree on the 67 borders. But you are wrong about Eu the fact that Islam dosen't make the shots, It's not making shots through European governments. He does with violence as we seen across Europe and mostly in France.
Support we get from most of the western sociaty and a few Arab countries including Eygpt who also have a border with Gaza. Most of the support is behind closed doors not in public but you can see it in the fact that the security council hasn't made a decision yet.

Radical Islam is not calling the shots in the European governments. I've been to the EU several times in the last few years and I can tell you that leaders hate submitting to any religious beliefs. Besides, this has been going on for 30 years. Take a look at all the rallies happening all over the place. Tell me what percent of them are pro-Israel.
Tell me why Israel should expand beyond its UN partition borders. I'd like to know why.

And by the way... in the Oslo Accords it is stated the Um Al Fahem - an arab city in the north of Israel - will be turned over to the Palestinian state - the Muslim Arab resdiants of that state protested this as they know that there is NO CHANCE that they will get the same treatment in ANY OTHER MUSLIM COUNTRY as they do in Israel.

There have been MASSIVE rallies IN ISRAEL by ISRAELI ARABS - they were given permission to rallie since they all live in a DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY! The Israeli Arabs live in Israel with dignity. I go to Tel-Aviv University and there are HUNDREDS of Arab students there. They have their memorial days comemorated, they have their own political groups active - this is true in all of ISrael! THEY HAVE FULL RIGHTS. The West Bank is very well off today and they understand that they are about to be free!
