The Fastest right hander on any circuit in Australia, Surfers' was definitely a "rip snorter", and to this day I cannot understand why this track was permitted to be eliminated.

@kiwiclog Now a bunch of ugly boxes for rich wankers with no taste to live out the rest of their sorry lives in. Poor old Surfers Raceway. I saw my first ever race car race there in 1986. Magic day. Hooked ever since. I still often drive past it. You can still see the entrance but that's about it. What a waste.
