  • Very nice-- I'm not a fan of the hand position at the begining, nor of the extreme tempo change in the middle. Debussy is VERY specific in his music, and I don't believe he intended for the tempo to change that dramatically. Also, be careful of the dipthongs on "c'est", "les" , and "et"-- You don't want to sound like this is SOUTHERN French! And by the way--those three do not rhyme in French.."c'est" is more of an "eh" sound while the others are more long "a" sound. GREAT accompanist thank God!

  • This is an extremely difficult song; I had the task of preparing this one for contest my senior year of high school. I hadn't thought about slowing in the middle section. It's an interesting interpretation, although perhaps not one that most singers would make. Good job; I know how difficult this piece is!
