It's not really any specific form such as Tribal Fusion or Egyptian... rather just dancing using the hip and arm pops/undulations every once and a while.... pretty, but not really the full thing

From what I've seen "steampunk" music hasn't actually been pin pointed yet. There are a few bands that claim are steampunk but they all sound different. *shrugs* But still I love this kind of music. It reminds me of Fifth Element. ^_^

hmmm many steam punks will hate me for this but it almost sounds like Darkwave which is a gothic type of music, and the whole subculture itself is kinda of like a more less over-animated version of the industrial subculture,by my geuss thiss look and music,(unfortunite to many steampunks)may be abopted into the goth and industrial subculture, or be the next industrial if the music dies.

Steampunk in itself is a world that never existed, an advanced victorian society that is- you guessed it- steam-powered. Steampunk music isn't well defined, but do a google image search on Abney Park instruments. they have fucking amazing, true steampunk instruments.

Yes! It's TRUE steampunk. It's true polycarbonate body guitars, painted with true laqcuer paints and coated in true urethane clear, purchased at Ye Olde Guitar Centre. Then, true plastic gears and electrical cables are glued on with true epoxy, and airbrushed with true bronze- or copper-colored model paints. All powered by true AC current from ye olde wall sockets. Just like they did in 1902!

The band themselves mentioned streampunk to make their concept a bit more interesting than the usual gawf schtick. FOR more of the middle eastern crossover, check out Peter Murphy's album Dust and Splattercell's Oah , Gary Numan's Jagged, Rachid Taha's Made in Medina & Tekitoi and Ian Brown's Golden Greats . Not saying that they're better, just to remain in the mood.

This is quite an interesing culture but the sounds of the band are absolutely wonderful. I really enjoyed the quintesential experience of listening to this band. They sound just wonderful. Steampunk seems to be a pretty interesting thing to learn about.
