  • HOLY SMOKES-great Job-Steve-O This looks like the right way to do this song-Thank you my friend!

  • Thanks for the lesson, saved me a lot of time.

  • hes a little off at the startting lol

  • hey 2 dislikes 2:30

  • @xxx69folifexxx

    That's actually pretty funny!

  • omg. ur amazing.:)

  • wait.... are you steve-o from Jackass Movie? :D

I was a jackass WAY before there was a TV show...

  • @thedodolers LOL that's what I thought at first :D

  • lol, learn, sorry, "learned" to bad you couldent teach spelling .

  • awsome man. quickest i ever learn a song.

  • very nice!

  • BEST INSTRUCTION on Baracuda! Thanks!

  • holy fuck I wana marry ur guitar O_o

  • And the SELL ME SELL YOU part? D=

  • @Tron544 thats D and A chords

  • @A7Xchick191

    Actually, I think it's C and A chords.

  • @OsainteveO really? naa it can't be i watched a bunch of heart vids and went to their concert it looks like nancy is playing D

  • @A7Xchick191

Maybe. The only way to tell is to play along with the recording, but I'm too lazy to do that right now.

  • @OsainteveO iv been playing with the recording D sounds perfect

  • @A7Xchick191

Not to labour the point, but I found a live video:

    /watch?v=bFpFBLRQ8Ns

At 2:11 and again at 2:25, there are shots of Nancy Wilson's guitar. It looks to me like she's on the 3rd fret, which would indicate a 'C'.

  • @OsainteveO hmm i'll check that out...actually i think i'm wrong now because i tryed C and it sounded better XP haha thanks

  • Go canadians dude they are awesome

  • Very nice lesson on this song and very solid playing. You have the patience and thoroughness to teach lessons. I was pretty curious to know what kinda of guitar, pickups, and type of amp you are using? The sustain and overall sound of your setup it very nice. I saw you said pod xt but havent got into much line 6 stuff so i'm not sure what that means.

  • @FromDayOneMusic

    Thanks!

The guitar is an Epiphone Les Paul. It has a cheap GFS V59 in the bridge and a GFS Mean 90 in the neck.

The POD XT is an older model. It's just an amp modeling box that you can plug straight into a sound card (or stereo). It takes a lot of tweaking to get good sounds out of them.

  • thanks i needed to play this songand all the notes online are all wrong lol

  • Great lesson -Thank you

  • Great job and very easy to understand and accurate! After watching some video's a few times with this song, I was able to listen and match your note in less then 20 minutes. I also have the proper tabs and you nailed it right!

For this I say to you "thank you"

  • Gosh I saw them in concert in 1985 in Greenville SC.. GREAT job. Don't mind the ignorance here. Musicians stick together no matter where they are from. Music is one language all musician speak. I have learned more from your video here than any other one I watched on this song. Thanks and keep up the good work..

  • @OsainteveO Why even acknowledge the clown Steve? Best version on YouTube!

  • im not sure what u said about palm muting but i loled my ass off when i heard your meat of your hand HAHAHAA man i had a long time to laugh like that. oh and nice cover-lesson

  • Damn, you make it look easy

  • This is a fantastic lesson, by far the best I have seen here. Great job!

  • what are your amp settings at?

  • @MrBenIPresume

I used a POD XT to record this.

Here's a general guidline that might help you:

Use an overdrive sound instead of distortion. Keep the gain down low. Don't scoop the mids, and turn the treble down a bit. Not too much reverb or delay and, of course, use a flanger.

  • @lilaluft orianthi i agree with but joan jett come on she wasn't that good

  • im 13 and dont playing guitar but this helped me alot!

  • Yes Nancy, not you! Ha Ha!

  • Please don't be reluctant to post music by american bands! This vid is SO HELPFULL! You have great ears to pick out the nuances and get them down. Can't believe a GIRL guitarist could play such cool stuff! ;-)....Cheers!

  • @rushangus

I hope by 'girl guitarist', you mean Nancy Wilson and not me...

  • @rushangus there are more male guitarists, yes, but that doesn't mean that girls can't rock too. take orianthi and joan jett for example. it might not exactly be your style but you can't tell me that these girls suck at guitar :)

  • Comment removed

  • @rushangus Wow, what a comment, she's not a girl guitarist, she's an AWESOME guitarist.Page and Plant say Heart is the female version of Led Zepp. Listen to Crazy on you. She's brilliant!! Thanks for the lesson best one on

YouTube for Barracuda. Put it on my Facebook page Guitars for Sale hope thats OK. Thanks

  • excellent lesson ... thanks you made it so easy to learn..

  • Just to let you know "Heart" well at least the Wilson girls are Canadian they are from Vancouver

  • @Davereidme

According to their bio on Wiki, they were both born in San Diego, California. They spent time in Seattle/Vancouver during the early days of Heart.

  • @OsainteveO check out Hearts Magic man vid from a live TV show in 78 its on you tube

  • @OsainteveO They recorded their first album 'Dreamboat Annie' in Vancouver, & found success in Montreal & Ottawa. Pretty cool, they call Canada their 'Spiritual Home.' Awesome video by the way!

  • @ilovefleetwoodmac

    Thanks for the comments!

Just to let everyone know, I play music from all over the world. I just decided to keep my page Canadian because it's hard to find lessons on some the the Canadian stuff.

Fleetwood Mac is awesome, btw. They say that 'Oh Well' was the inspiration for Zeppelin's 'Black Dog'. I can definitely hear the influence.

  • @Davereidme did they leave the states to follow Anns boyfriend whom was evading the draft?

  • @tvicena I don t think if you watch they're Magic man video from a 1976 or 1978 Tv show here on you tube she says they are from Canada ...let me know if you find the vid thanks

  • @Davereidme they left CA because their boyfriends didn't want to get drafted.

  • Very good lesson!!!

  • Dam! You shure arent a pro but u play like one ;)

  • well done - great!

  • Where did you find teh figure (solos, chords) of this song??

  • @1Amarildo1

I'm sure there are some tabs out there on the internet.

I figure the songs out myself.

Please don't ask me to write a tab for this - I HATE writing tabs!

  • @1Amarildo1 ultimate-guitar has some solid tabs for it

  • fav'd 'n saved, thank you

  • This was a great lesson my brotha!!! Very well done. I've been trying to learn that for a year or more and learned in about 30 mins with your video. Keep teaching and Keep rocking!!!

  • it screws up the truss rod adjustments but if your a rock stat with a guitar tech. have at it.

  • You kick ass. Makes my life so much easier. I have a gig tomorrow and haven't played this tune since NYE. Heh. 30 seconds on your vid and I got it locked down. Thanks.

  • jiminy cricket!!! crazy good :)

  • DAYUM that's the best version, you know if you listened to it not knowing, it's too similar to the original to tell apart!

  • nice voice

  • That record was made in Canada. Doesn't that make it Canadian?

  • Thank you soooo much......... Pete

  • @algattonegro thx

  • Thankyou so much. No one teaches this part of the song. I've been searching that bit for a long time. Thanks again. Nice job. Sounds accurate.

  • Don't bend the neck lick that

  • @amotleyjames42669

I've been playing almost 30 years and I've yet to have any harm come to a neck. But for those novices out there, be careful.

  • @amotleyjames42669 If you have a whammy bar you can use it instead.

  • @amotleyjames42669 you should see Randy Rhoads bend his neck, he really gives her

  • i realized it wasn't a real gibson les paul but maybe an epiphone cuz it has 3 screw holes on the truss rod cover a gibson only has 2 screw holes lol ...screw holes lol

  • @restxinxlove

I don't know if all the Epiphones have "Gibson" written on the truss rod cover, but mine did (it was a limited edition quilt-top with black hardware).

  • @OsainteveO Yours is an elite model probably.

  • oh my god, i love you man..thx

  • u r the best and is that a les paul

  • a gibson is 3000$ but how many for epiphone is ???

  • @menteur4444 200 pounds easily, just go on e-bay!!

  • can u help me on playing it my account is basuda1998

  • I don't write tabs because I hate doing it. Message me if you have any specific questions and I'll be happy to answer them as best I can.

  • Have no fear, they lived in Canada for a bit ;)
