It's not a Malamute. It looks like one but I'd think it's own owner would know what breed of dog he had. All you can do is try to prove him wrong and he just lost the poor dog. RIP. He was beautiful.

My siberian husky's name was Kieko. He was orange and white. Had one blue eye and one orange. I thought siberian huskies were orange. I guess they could come in other colors. They sure do look very much alike.

This looks like a Malamute, not a Husky. I can be wrong...

I know that malamutes and huskies look helluva alot alike, its near impossible to tell the difference unless you know what to look for

Malamutes do not have the blue eyse Huskies have. And they are usually larger and "woolier" than Huskies, although not always. Mals were bred for "freighting" to pull heavier sleds shorter distances, while the Sibes were bred to run 20-30 miles a day with lighter loads or just a sled and driver at higher speeds.
