  • Could you teach how to play Toby Keith's "Love me if you can" ?

  • Thank you..

  • Mojo-love your style, but you are all over the boards-I suggest your first walk through all the chords all the way through, then expand on what you like and why?? Also, most of us looking at these type songs are beginners so bar chords like that F are not in our range-

  • ThreeChordGuitar, I'm sorry but I don't understand your strumming instructions. Are you skipping over the strings sometimes on the up strum? I hear you saying, "Down, Up, Down". "Up, Down, up, Down, Up, Down". "Up, down, up, down, up, down". Could you please elaborate on that? How do you get a rhythm or strum pattern from that?

  • sorry to have to correct you but this song is in the key of D.

  • @pat976 Technically, it's in the key of whatever I can sing it in, when it's my video :)

  • Good training course , Now my fingers are sore, since I'm a begginer, Richie ,But I do know Amarillo by singing it, Ty

  • good teacher!!!

  • ThreeChordGuitar guy, at 41 seconds you say, "you need a C chord, then E-Minor, an F chord, and then a G." When you go from F to G at 50 seconds it looks like you slide your index finger Bar to the 3rd fret with your ring finger on the A string / 4th fret. I'm not familiar with making a G chord that way. Could you please explain. I love your videos. You explain and demonstrate very well. I really want to learn how to play Amarillo By Morning. I sing it all the time. Thanks!

  • @61dodgelancer You can play a regular G chord if you want to. This is just a barre chord G. I play it because it's the same shape as an F chord - which comes right before it - and you just need to slide on up the neck a couple of frets :)

  • @ThreeChordGuitar Thanks for your explanation and solution to my question. I really like your videos b/c they're not too complicated for beginners to learn to play.

  • just learning guitar but you are a very good teacher. A sincere thank you

  • great teaching and he sings also. Thanks much.

  • not a George Straight #1...sorry brother...wish it was...should have been...but not

  • nice sounding guitar

  • your guitar is fucking ugly, Great video though..helped me out a lot. thanks!

(God, that guitar is ugly...) =)

  • Very clear presentation and helpful to many. One suggestion, when the G drops back to the F at the word "sun is high" try an Fmaj7 instead of the F.

  • dude can you tell us how to play the chords, u know like tell me what fingers what to use. seriously all i know is metal on guitar and this should be easy but ur making it difficult man.

  • Sorry that you feel that I make it difficult. Please note that I have individual videos available that detail how to play individual chords.

  • hey man are you in a band? you should be! you do a lot of country!

  • No, not a band right now... as for the country stuff, I do a lot of songs that are requested, and these days, most of the requests I get are country music-related. Since I dig that kind of music anyway, it's not a bad deal :)

  • Thanks! I've found watching you very inspirational. I 've been having a great time hitting the guitar each day - awesome job and a BIG Thank you!

  • You made my day. Thanks for the very kind words!

  • I can't tell you how excited I am that you posted this one.. Haha.

Everything I know I pretty much learned from you!

  • Since I stole pretty much all I know from others, I suppose it's fair :)

  • He's letting the notes sustain. I think the recording is actually in D with a key change to E. But sounds good!

  • it is

  • Why are you shaking your arm like that?

  • Thanks.Ive been trying to play this song forever but always in D.Well I can do it now in C with a capo but I cheat on the F#m and only play 3 strings.Very helpfull thanks again.Ron

  • My friend was asking me about this song.

I have sent him your way.

You have a good voice. Good Job.

Check out my music on kzone65

  • Thanks Mojo, but you play 2 different G chords in this song. The standard (320033) and another G. It looks like you are baring the third fret and I can't see where you place the other fingures.

  • Hey Mojo, thanks for the great lesson. Could you tab out which G and F cord you are using. I see you using this G (320003) but I don't know the other G. Also if you could tab the F cord as well it would be great! Thanks

  • I only use a traditional F chord, so I assume that's what I used in there as well. As for the G, I either play it the way you described it, or 320033...

  • Mojo you have the best lessons on youtube! i have been watching a lot of your videos and learning a lot from your lessons. I signed up on youtube just so i know when you put new videos out! excellent work!!!

  • Thank you for the generous comment. I am happy you see value in these videos :)

  • Well I know this is completely off subject, but god damn, you're cute.

  • It may be OT, but it's still very kind of you to say so :)

  • No problem, it's true. Good video too, I was playing this right after I watched.

  • it wasn't a number one hit.

  • It should have been ;)

  • awesome video and good instructions and you have a good voice you did well keep up the videos

  • Nice job!! thank you!!

  • Hey MoJo..What you are doing is GREAT!

I hope that you continue to keep up the good work.....Thank You!

  • This isn't George Strait's song...he covered it. Either way, it's just a damn good song.

  • Good point. Thanks for making it.

  • This is great, I doubt it, but have anything for the fiddle? : )

  • sorry, I don't play the fiddle :(

  • good demostration, you are great teacher, i like so much is song. thanks

  • Great! I am psyched you liked it :)

  • ??? This dude is just wrong!!!

  • So, which dude are we talking about, and exactly how is this person wrong?

  • Nice video. But I believe the recorded version by George Strait is played in the key of D, so just to mention that if people are trying to play along with the recording.

In that case, the chords being:

D, F#m, G, D, and so on (up a full step from what you played).

  • Thanks!

  • nice job mojo,thanks

  • You're very welcome!

  • Great video and a beautiful guitar. Thanks always

  • Thanks for the kind words :)

  • That is such a classic song! Great job:)

  • Thanks. And yes, it is a wicked classic, isn't it? :)

  • good vid.. how do you get all these guitars?

  • I buy them :)
