  • @HeroOfTime253 Yeah, no kidding. XD

  • i didn't even know i could use the skyward strike when the storm began o_0 and i beat him without using it.

  • ganondorf+akuma=demise

  • Demise met his demise.... kinda ironic

  • Quite possibly the most epic ending in any Zelda game ever!

  • You whooped his ass. Demise is now your bitch.

  • @flashjetmax

No it's not. I didn't even think to use my shield in this fight and after a few tries learned all his tells for each attack and how to dodge them. The time I beat him I didn't lose a single heart in his first form and beat him quicker than this video. The second part is only more difficult if you accidentally hit his electrified sword.

  • why do you wait once your blade catches lightning? why not strike him with it once you electrify you blade?

  • Demise for the new smash bros? Please and thank you :)

  • So Ganondorf decended from Akuma? Awesome.

  • Damn, this is hard. I would have finished this game months ago if it weren't for this bitch.

  • @Catdramaticstatic . Did you find this difficult? This is a joke of a fight. I defeated him without using the lightning strike (I didn't even now it was possible to use the lightnings). Ganon in Twilight princess was more entertaining. He showed 4 different forms. Demise only showed two and there was not even a castle/temple to complete before fighting against him. I felt so dissapointed when I defeated him.

  • @mastersword12345 It would be, too, if the controls worked properly. They where fine for some people, but they would never really do what I wanted them to do.

  • @Catdramaticstatic . when the game ended I was like. Is that it ? are you kidding me? is that it ???

  • @mastersword12345 TP Ganon is far easier than Demise.

  • @deanriam probably far easier but Ganon in TP was more entertaining with the different stages of fight and it was more epic. The only epic thing on Demise's fight was at the his ending dialogue, talking about the curse that will always bind them all three together.

  • Link -> Link

    Zelda -> Zelda

    Impa -> Impa

    Demise -> ...Ganondorf

  • Demise: Prepare to meet your doom, Human.

Link: (music starts):Yeah my name is Link, man, I'm more well known than Lil Wayne Oh you thought my name was Zelda? THAT'S AF**KING GIRL'S NAME! I've saved the world like fifteen times and and saved the princess from demise And I do it all alone, with no help and no advice "Hey, Look, Listen" Hey, look, listen, you f**king annoying fairy I'd rather be forced to listen to constant Katy Perry! ....

  • @yoyoyoshiification LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • To be honest i was very disappointed with how easy this boss fight was.

I honestly beat this fight in less than 2 minutes on my first try.

All you have to do in the first half is shield bash - fling the wii remote randomly - shield bash -fling the wii remote randomly - and keep repeating.

For the lightning half, all you have to do is circle around him with your sword pointed towards the air until lightning strikes it and attack, and repeat.

I was expecting him to have like 5 forms but sadly no.

  • @ace6432 twilight princess, majoras mask, Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past was the ones that was epics

  • Comment removed

  • @ace6432 The fun thing about Demise is that there are many ways to defeat him. You could just do the shield and slash routine, but I later learned a combo of three slashes can get past his parrying. Lightning strike is also an awesome move. There are also two ways to avoid his Lightning strike. You can dodge it or get close to Demise so the shield treats it like a regular slash and not something unblockable.

  • @Boredlooney4 I just fought against him and defeated him using my shield and slash. I had no idea you could use the lightnings.

  • Comment removed

  • its gets real easy when theres lightning

  • I beat this guy with two fairies and a Guardian Potion. Gotta give 'em credit for knocking the wind (or should I say hearts?) outta me, but I find it funny that Demise is supposed to be so powerful yet that simple Potion Shop Lady who waves and claps all day and leaves her husband up all night with the baby invented something that ultimately aided in Demise's...um, demise.

  • I have to say, the first time I saw Demise, I was thinking "Woah! Nintendo that is a really cool looking boss!"

  • lol, so thats how you were suppose to do it. all i did was guardian pot+ + pot medal lol. 9 minutes of invincibility :/ my method was just blocking with my hylian shield haha guess this works xD

  • they shouldn't call him "DEMISE". they should call him "Link vs Big Ass Dude"

    plain and simple

  • Didn't use the Skyward Strike, didn't occur to me as I was trying to shield block his attacks. Recognized the blue disk of death move as Ganondorf's OoT attack. I loved this game! I was waiting for Demise to come back after the Finishing Blow...I liked the little roll he did to evade my strike.

  • No wonder I had such a hard time with this guy... Fi told me I couldn't use Skyward Strikes in this area, and I committed the grave error of listening to her. Ended up just dodging a lot and getting in cheap hits when I could.

  • This game was easy. The only thing that made this damn game so long was all the back tracking you had to do. The hardest thing about the game was the controls, the puzzles were easy and so were the boss fights. If you had trouble with this game, then you suck at Zelda. However a very good game.

  • Well, it can't get any clearer than that. Ganondorf is Demise reincarnated, just makes him even more menacing than before.

  • zelda x street fighter

    WHO TAUGHT THE LIZARDS SHOURKEN

  • Demise = Akuma

  • demise looks like ganons buff and older brother

  • also gotta say best final move ever!

  • Like if you can do this without a shield and have at least 10 hearts remaining

  • @thelinkleonxkennedy2 That's impossible.

  • @flashjetmax no its not. you sword fight then you just wait for when hes open.

  • @thelinkleonxkennedy2 watch?v=kRe5M2Jcfwk the quality is poor sorry about that

  • wow, you have like no hearts and no storage space how did you make it through the game?

  • Lol, I bought three sacred shields and switched 'em when their health got low and I went inthere with three fairies. I was pretty well prepared haha

  • When you think about it.. Ghirahim was kinda part of the last boss

  • I didn't realize there was the lightning strike until I beat Demise lol

  • Link would've stood no chance against Demise without the Triforce. I realize we didn't get a buff or anything, but Demise would've been impossible to damage.

  • @RyuShimazu that was the point of finding it in the first place...

  • @RyuShimazu Well duh.

Even the Goddess had a hard time dealing with him, no mortal being would damage him without help.

  • @RyuShimazu I played the game to me, it looked like Link did not have the triforce at the time, still he legit knocked out Demise.

  • This guy looks like a Black version of Oni Akuma lmaoo...HE LOOKS TOO BROKE

  • I didn't know about getting the skyward strike for the first 2 minutes then my shield broke... but eventually I caught on and bet him! epic battle tho

  • My shield broke when I fought Ghirahim, so I had to fight without a shield.

  • I STILL CAN'T BEAT HIM AND I TRIED LIKE 10 TIMES!!!!

  • @The12232flower I actually beat him pretty easily on the first try, but it was a cheap way. The hylian shield is useful as hell. When ever he attacked, I blocked 3 times. He usually left himself open for few slashes. During the lightning mode, he only left enough time for one slash before he brings his guard up. I slowly got his health down. So moral of the story....GET THE EFFIN HYLIAN SHIELD!

  • To the people dying, infuse your heart potions with bugs to make it restore all hearts.

And in my opinion, this boss was way too short for a final boss. Like really, think about TP and WW. In Wind Waker there was Phantom Ganon = 3 forms + Ganondorf.

TP, Ganondorf had 4 forms. Zelda puppet, Dark beast ganon, horse fight and actual fight.

I was disappoint that Demise died so quickly, I wanted it to transform into like a second form.

    It also was very easy.

  • @TOTUJ0 My strategy is the Hylian Shield...Yeah...

  • @Tooopper I had the Hylian shield too lol. It's the best for this battle..

  • @TOTUJ0 It would have probably been hard if I didn't have it. I missed my shot with the shield strike so many times that I might as well would have had 3 fully upgraded iron shields and still have all of them break. My god, that thing saved me.....Moral of this story: STILL GET THE EFFIN HYLIAN SHIELD!

  • @TOTUJ0 Agreed. Even OoT had Ganondorf + Ganon. You can't really count The Imprisoned because it was over the course of the game, and well, that boss was gay every time.

Also, I was dissapointed on how little the complete Triforce changed Link. Ganondorf has only the Triforce of power and yeah.... Link gathers ALL 3 pieces and.......nothing changes. Would've been much better and ten times more epic if they had incorperated each Triforce piece into the boss battle.

  • @foutstime Thats because triforce was not with link. Link used the triforce just to destroy Demise on his own time, when he goes to the past, he was not able to use it again. But he was only able to defeat Demise because he was not fully awaken.

  • @TOTUJ0 I powered all my potions up, and only used the Guardian potion and Revitalizing potion. Ghirahim's final battle was more difficult, but Demise was awesome!

  • Great job with the shield attacks at the beginning! I always just did it once and then backflipped away. Your way would let me finish the fight in half the time!

  • i died twice before beating him. this game might have the hardest bosses out of any zelda game.

  • @guasto47 @guasto47 I disagree, only hard bosses in SS were Koloktos and The Imprisoned. Ghiramim was way too easy everytime, Moldarach, easy. Scaldera, easy. Tentalus was kinda hard. Bilocyte was easy. ......

  • @guasto47 He was actually pretty easy (well, I used the Hylian shield so..Myah..), but it was possibly the most intense. This final fight was awesome as hell. At times, I swear it was pure eye candy.

  • OOOOH SHIT TO THOSE THAT KNOW ZELDA, THIS GUY IS VAATI!!!

  • @flameroaster vaati and ganondorf are both incarnations of his hatred

  • I mean guy on the ground

  • Also at the end: The way he jumps up in the air, gets some lighting while airborne, and then stabs the gun on the ground i think is epic.

  • Oni from street fighter? Is that you?

  • I beat Demise without a shield and the Skyward Strike...

    Not because I'm a pro...Because I'm stupid XD

  • @MasterTainment I beat him without Skyward Strike because it never occurred to me you could catch lightning on your clearly metal sword....I mean, you touch a Technoblin's electric fly swatter or an electric chu or Demise's sword and you get electrocuted, so why would pointing my sword into the sky seem like a good idea at the time?!

  • @Shakai Hahaha FACT

  • I was so scared. I couldn't get a skyward strike because of how much I was shaking the wiimote LOL

but I did eventually beat him and this was an epic fight.

  • This battle was epic, but way too short! It should be like Twilight Princess' battle!!

  • @xdlugia1 If you don't go away to save and stock up on supplies, it is technically a long battle like TP's battle...You get the Triforce and kill the Imprisoned, Go to the sealed grounds in the past and fight the horde, Fight Ghirahim's true form, Encounter Demise, and then fight him! Sounds pretty intense to me!

  • right now this trembling has hapened before however it happened a few years ago. since that point no zelda boss has ever terrified me like he did. demise is very scary but if i end up terrrified of this guy it means this is going to be epic. and i will not be forced to retire from zelda any time soon. so to all you skyward sword player dont get discouraged by demise. even if you get scared just push on,dont give up and put all your soul, heart ,& mind into this battle and dont give up the fight

  • also has anyone noticed that in zelda games when the final boss has minions they always turn on their loyal subjects

  • has anyone notice that demise looks exactly like ganondorf. i mean he has orange hair, he wants to take over the world with the help of the triforce, and he is extremely good with weapon such as swords and such.

i mean i just beat ghiriham the dumbass and i am about to fight demise and i am already shakng

  • @zelda050693

Demise states after the battle that hes hate will incarnate and live, that may mean Ganondorf

  • @prox40 cuz he is ganondorf notice how he says link is cursed to be in this battle forever

  • Skyward Sword was a masterpiece, incredibly challenging and a great plot. This was one of the most difficult bosses ever, I didn't even know till I watched this video you could use skyward strikes on Demise. Maybe my favorite game now

  • Wow, i did not realize that you could power up your sword with the lightning, no wonder why I thought it was overly challenging for a Zelda game.

  • When Demise placed a curse on Link and Zelda, that his hatred will be reincarnated, he also cursed Ganondorf, because Demise's lust for power will forever live on through Ganondorf, meaning that he will forever be cursed with darkness inside his heart.

  • Demise's curse on Link and Zelda is what I would like to call the Hero's Curse, because of the fact that for every hero, there is a villian that will always clash with each other. As for Zelda, there is always the damsel in distress, that the hero must always save, and the villian will always chase after. Because of this, the hero will forever face the darkness that stands in its way.

  • @FrostyBlue23 Extroadinary, you stand as a paragon of gamer-kind, Frost. Hero's Curse - perfect name for it.

I love the dynamics that enter in when you think of how Ganondorf is unknowingly fulfilling the prophecy Demise had created. He is the Big-Bad of the series, right, but there's also a much Bigger-Bad who was (indirectly) the start of this whole mess.

Ironic then that there always should be a Hero who models himself after this Link.

  • ohhhh... so thats why chancellor cole and ganon looks so much like demise!!

  • This is one of the hardest bosses I have ever fought. I didn't expect Nintendo to put such difficulty in a modern game, I also didn't expect them to have such dark dialogue from Ghirahim and Demise like the series has never known before.

I really loved that, keep it up Nintendo!

  • blood soaked sea of darkness wow for a game that is for ten and up and looks peaceful it has some pretty dark and creepy sayings

  • @masteralexrlink Kinda like how Girhim licks Links blood of his sword(s)

  • i always wondered if they would somehow tie ganondorf into this game demise explains it on 6:44 technically ganondorf is demise reborn through hate and i agree demise would kick ganondorfs ass the only thing i hate about demise is u only see this form once and its not in like a fortress or castle

  • usually i make the boss battles last longer it makes the fights more fun

  • if you dont use lightning strikes its pretty hard

    but i still won

  • Demose looks like lucifer in Dante's Inferno! Mind Blown.

  • i killed him without using the lightning strikes at all. it was really hard though

  • Is this video slightly slow or something? It seems like it's in slow motion. I'm actually a bit positive that it is. lol

  • Comment removed

  • I can't believe people are saying this is easy. I dunno, i found him to be the hardest boss in the game, I died five times before beating him, and I had 4 hearts potions each time.

  • @MisterchidsMachinima i agree i only died on him once but he can easily kick your ass the only easy thing i thought was how short the battle is and how u only had to fight one form of him for the final battle

  • @MisterchidsMachinima yeah I thought he was soooo hard. I didn't know you could use skyward strikes on him though that made it a lot easier looking, I just used my shield a lot

  • I must Fi is not nowhere near as ANNOYING as Navi from OOT was! Navi every few minutes would be Hey! Hey! GOD I wanted to reach into the game and SHUT HER THE HELL UP!!

  • beat this guy without losing a heart ..... gaurdian potion + is mega cheese.

  • 3:50

"By the Power of Gray Skull!"

Yeah, I said that when I was in battle.

Except this is far more epic.

  • @IAmSuperWeirdGal i did the same thing i held it up and said i have the pow-and then demise hit me lmao

  • Ganondorf is Demise. :l

  • @Dhanzz23

    O RLY

  • @highlander5523 YARLYFAG

  • Well for me Demise was the most difficult zelda boss of all times, why??

beacuse all zelda bosses are not so difficult to beat the shit out of them. And Demise had an electric sword. So, sorry ganondorf, but demise rules!

  • I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive Nintendo for making Demise a whimp. Skyward Sword really could have surpassed Ocarina of Time, if it wasn't for the final boss :(

  • @Yaymaze

I have to disagree with you, Ganondof is 10x easier than Demise (because he doesn't have a freaking electric sword -_- ) And Ganondorf's moves are easy to cope with.

and the final boss doesn't make what happened before the fight worse if it WAS bad, (which it wasn't)

  • Lighting skyward strike is impressed. I need 3 times of fatal blow to defeat him.

  • I wish people would stop hating Demise... I liked him and I liked Ganondorf, too. In fact, I liked Demise more because he created one of the coolest villains of all time.

  • @zer0freed0m

Demise was awesome and it was excellent to see just how Ganon/Ganondorf was created but I can't help but feel that his fight was relatively boring. The Levias parasite and the sandship boss felt more epic than Demise's fight and the end boss in my opinion should have the most epic fight over all previous bosses.

  • damn fi, i tried to hare my sword but it was taking too long, and she said it was impossible to give a skyward strike... whatever, now i'll do it right XD

awwww the end came so quickly, thought it would have more temples, but indeed, t was the best zelda ever ˆˆ

  • The whole fight was rather anti-climactic, just a swordfight? Boring. It would have been cool if they would have found a way to incorporate the bird combat into this. Like the first part could have been a sword fight and when you do enough damage he spits out the soul of the goddess and Zelda makes a reappearance. Then he transforms back into that abomination and flies above the clouds. Zelda and Link's birds dive down and you then get to have an epic fight with the abomination above the clouds.

  • @jbx09ajustice Thats a very good idea however as you and I know bird combat is limited as I found out against Levias. However it's a tradition that Zelda upholds where the final fight is a swordfight. Examples: Ocarina of Time (Ganon), Phantom Hourglass (Bellum), Twilight Princess (Ganondorf), Spirit Tracks (Malladus), Minish Cap (Vaati). I won't bore you with my Zelda nerdish knowledge but thats why. Also Loftwings didn't exist (I don't think) during the fight in the past. I AM THE ZELDA NERD!

  • @thewiisgreat999

You are definitely the zelda nerd. I've only played Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Walker, Twilight Princess, and now Skyward Sword. All I'm saying is that the final fight lacks an epicness befitting the last boss of a Legend of Zelda series. Overall, the game still kicks ass but games like this really need an epic end boss fight to tie everything together and really drive home the idea "this game fucking rules". Also, a side comment, no kiss scene between Zelda and Link?

  • @jbx09ajustice Yay! Someone Recognizes me as the Zelda nerd. Demise was cool remember and I do think that the last boss fight between the two was a bit short. He could of come into the future and summon a massive Loftwing or whatever (A bit like Ganon's horse) dressed in black amour. Zelda and Link always are about to kiss but I don't think they've ever actually kissed. Maybe on the last Zelda game they can kiss. Side Comment: Since I completed Syward Sword I'm bored so I bought Majora's Mask

  • @thewiisgreat999

Nice man, Majora's mask had an excellent mechanic to it the way you could transform into different races like the Gorons and Zoras. Rolling around Terminal as a Goron was awesome and swimming as a Zora was cool too. They really added something to the boss battles too. I didn't really care for the time component of it though. I always felt like I was being rushed and couldn't take my time to explore everything.

  • @jbx09ajustice I have definitely not done that part yet. I've only just stopped being a deku scrub! I shall conclude our little conversation here. I have found it most interesting finding someone who has the same enthusiasm for Zelda as me. Unless we can find a way to chat privately I say Good Bye.

  • @thewiisgreat999 I would enjoy joining such a conversation. Majora's Mask is one of the best Zelda games made. It's a real challenge with nonstop puzzles and mysteries. plus I just like the difficulty and darkness of it.

  • @jbx09ajustice i thought the swordfight was really epic. Just your sword and shield. All the items that helped you throughout the whole game couldnt be used and i LOVED it! Like in those old samurai movies where the end is 2 guys having an epic ass swordfight....oh so fun

  • i just beat it 5 mins ago i love this game im going to get the next one that comes out

  • akuma and ares had a really buff baby

  • I beat him with one heart left and without those electric atacks...it was freakin hard O_O

  • His Round 2 music is so epic.. makes me feel like I'm fighting Zeus.

  • I was so much worse at this fight. I thought you couldn't use the skyward strike because Fi said so.

  • I just bought and made an invicible potion. It made me invicible for 3 minutes. So I just spammed the second phase of demise. Done. Even ghirahim battle was harder.

  • Nintendo pulled another Twilight Princess ending on us :(

  • @FalconFetus8 I'm not complaining...

  • I beat him my first try...but it was not easy. I did not know about the Skyward Strikes and his final form just wrecked me. I went through 3 Red Potion++ potions.

  • I knocked him down twice without any Skyward strikes, which drove me to the edge of insanity by the way, and then I kept dying multiple times. I tried the Skyward strike but since it took a while (similar to the charge time of the original sword before upgrade) and there was no charging animation I gave up.

I paused the game after the nth time my shields broke and found this video, I beat him with about 3 hearts and no shields once I knew how to use the freaking Skyward strike.

    Thanks mate.

  • Demise is probably one of the coolest looking bosses of Zelda, ever. I also like the sword version of Ghirahim as its like the polar opposite of the Master Sword, and I've only seen pics of them. I don't know if you have noticed, but with the fight between Link and Demise, in the room, with them fighting on the water, it seems like a OoT reference between Link and Dark Link in the Water Temple minus the tree in the middle of the room.

  • If you listen at the end the breathing is the same sound that ganon makes in oot when he swings his sword

  • most disappointing battle in the history of Zelda games.

  • Comment removed

  • This fight might be sorta easy but it looks fucking epic. Lightning bolts striking swords and huge aerial finish move? Hell yes

  • anyone els notice the scar on demise's face looks like the scar ganon had n twilight princess when link and ganon have the beast battle?

  • @blackheart0478 that scar is from when he was sealed at the bottom of the sealed grounds

  • @ajbproductions827 i know ive beaten the game i was just saying that it looks like the scar ganon had in twilight princess

  • He breathes just like Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time. Also, his voice is done by the same voice actor as OoT ganon.

  • Shield fix: talk to the thunder dragon and beat all 8 of the boss rematches for the Hylian Shield (never breaks)

  • Metsu!

  • Considering the damage done to the shield from the single hit at 4:29, I'm really glad I had the Hylian shield for this.

  • @ILikeWafflz me too it is a saver

  • Considering his size, mentality, and supposed power, Demise was WAY too easy. I was expecting something a whole lot more drawn-out, but I felt like this last fight was just tacked on.

  • I'm sorry but none of the bosses in Skyward Sword were hard. All awesome, but none actually hard.

  • @Haviprime Like every other 3D zelda game, herp.

  • @Mrguy891 That was in reply to someone quoting Miyamoto saying Demise was the hardest boss in Nintendo history. Derp.

  • @Haviprime Next time use "@"

  • @Haviprime nothing beats dark link though

  • @Haviprime hardest boss for me is 3rd ghirahim but still not that hard

  • Does everyone remember when miyamoto said that Demise was the toughest boss in Nintendo history? That was bullshit. This game IS hard, but Demise is a joke. Worry more about Ghirahim.

  • I see this as a complete copy off of Lord of the Rings where Morgoth transfers his power and malice to Sauron after being defeated.

  • Use the bug catcher on him. Its like Ganondorf fishing rod in TP

  • Demise is ganondof on FUCKING STEROIDS

  • Interesting trivia: Takashi Nagasako did the voice for Demise. Nagasako-san also did the voice for Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker, further connecting the fact that Ganondorf is a renicarnation of Demise's hatred.

Also, Takashi Nagasako, voice behind Demise and OoT/WW Ganondorf, also is the voice for Donkey Kong in Mario Kart Wii, Punch-Out Wii, Donkey Kong Country Returns (where he also voices Cranky Kong), DK: Jungle Climber (where he also voices Xananab and Cranky.) and many more
