  • Hear that second trombone roar. Posted that on the MontclairCitadel account by mistake :P.

  • Gentlemen, one of my most favorite pieces of music is my Comfort and Strength. It meant a lot to me and allowed me to worship through my instrument. I had the privilege to play Easter Glory with Leslie Condon on a tour through England. The thing is we played to Salvation Army audiences but I don't think that outside audiences would appreciate the music.. I am genuinely interested. to know what you might be planning to write for an audience that doesn't know what we know. God Bless you

  • Cracking piece of music. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.

  • Thanks for adding this video and for all who have commented. The tunes used within Supremacy were chosen specifically to the title of the piece and Above All is a particular favourite worship song of mine. I hold no grudge of any critique and simply wish the music to be given back to God and used and blessed by him. I have been blessed to receive comments of people being moved by the piece and as a writer that is our wish for as many as possible to experience that.

  • My sincere apologies to Marcus and Mr. Jones. I did not at all mean to suggest that the music was not well written or not very well appreciated by an initiated Salvation Army audience. My concern is for the uninitiated who really should be the target audience. No doubt that this music is a blessing to all Salvation Army bandsmen. God bless your efforts to reach your intended audience.

  • I was brought up in the SA Band tradition and really appreciate the effort and accomplishment of this band. Unfortunately as well as this is played I have to say that this is a very tedious piece for an audience to sit through. Like a lot of SA literature the beginning is very promising but it gets bogged down in the middle and the end doesn't justify waiting for something to happen. To bring people back to the concert hall we must have better programming.

  • @warddo1 Maybe you could write something a little less "Tedious"..... I'm sure Dean Jones would love to hear your ‘kind’ words about the work he's written, and given back to us as SA bands. As a fellow composer I take offence.... The piece is built around “Above All” Crucified – Very Strong meaning for the audience to feel and be blessed. Then again, Dean probably wouldn’t care much what you think about it – Only what our Lord thinks!!

  • Very nice.

    Thanks you for posting.
