  • Just my first impression that this video was a "fake". The so-called doctor had to read her medical info from a paper, which real doctors already know the facts. They also perform lots of tests (EEG & skull X-rays) before they diagnose narcolepsy.

And they do not hand you the RX for stimulant drugs lightly. Most of those are class II narcotics, which are severely restricted. Limited in amounts given. And the pharmacist will watch carefully to see the rules are followed.

  • Note to the ppl in here making weight jokes. Narcoleptic people lack the energy to spend the full time needed to in the gym to get the fitness level they need. Do your research and be a little more understanding please.

  • Vote for Pedro!

  • This makes my heart happy, I have narcolepsy and adffffggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

  • I was going to click away, but decided to watch this instead.. and ended up appreciating the ideas you put forward. It is good to see that you decided to draw attention to this issue in a humorous and well-thought out way without mocking. Nice video.

  • heh "You may have narcolepsy" ...

My first doctor told me to shut the hell up and quit being a lazy bastard.

  • yeah i know that feeling

  • That's what my first two doctors told me, then they said I had Depression, then they said I had ADD (but not the kind they prescribe stimulants to). Then my parents and church told me that my terrifying hallucinations were clear evidence that I was possessed by Satan.

After tens of thousands of dollars, a decade of suffering to the point of not wanting to live, a sleep lab found EVIDENCE of severe narcolepsy. Opinion/faith based medical practices are scams, a skeptic they turned me into.

  • @c0unterph0bia: man, i pretty much went through all the same stuff as you, aside from the possessed part.

    are you american?

im just wondering because in canada, where i live, i didn't have to pay for any of the lab tests.

  • @chuckbassislife Yeah, I'm American. If I lived 5 miles north I'd be in Canada, but I got to pay for all my lab tests instead, lol. I'm not complaining though, my life is wonderful now!

  • well i do appreciate that you made this video...and i'm sure your hearts were in the right place. i have narcolepsy...and i just wanted to let you know when narcoleptics collapse we are not sleeping...therefore we do not snore when we collapse. it is a condition called catoplexy. it looks as though we are sleeping, but we are aware of everything around us...we are just unable to move. was this a school project?

  • Yes, it was.

I, along with everyone involved in the video, apologize any offensiveness you might have taken.

  • @Justjason271 some people do go into a sleeping state

check out the doctor. she is good lol haha

thanks Jeff por helping us with the whole filming and for putting it up =)
