I do not mean to be disrespectful at all. I love the Truckers and Jason is a beast but does anyone have any idea what the deal is with him using First Act guitars? Does he have an endorsement deal or does he really just like them that much? I am no guitar aficionado by any means but I know enough to know what these cost and it ain't much.
This is a excellent lesson on how to play from your heart thats something thats missing from the crap on the radio. Jason Isbell and DBT give me faith that not all new music is souless bullcrap
rock the house jason ,, i went in the studio and learned that song the first time i heard it , keep on jammin boy ,,, we love back home in alabama , slugger
I love Jason Isbell and he is more talented that the majority of chart topping musicians these days but to say hes more talented than anyone in DBT is not correct and Im sure Jason would agree. Patterson,Cooley, and Jason all have different styles, one no better than the other. Jason was my favorite singer of the three but I think Cooleys songs were the best.Listen to Ghost to Most or Zip city . Amazing songs equal to Decoration Day or GDLL at least
@BobbyHollis88 lol? are you dumb? everyone in DBT is unreal and theyre all different so idk how you can compare them and say such things as what you just did..
Reminds me of Neil Young

Alright so I did a little web research and answered my own question. Interesting choice, I think it says a lot about him as a player.

Agree with the comment that Isbell is not more talented than Hood or Cooley - but he might be AS talented.
Cooley is my favorite songwriter ever, but Jason's contributions to DBT and his solo work are fantasmic.
"Never gonna change" is a perfect example

He has more talent in his little finger than anyone in DBT has in their entire body.
