  • @IFoundIslam1 hey

i can tell that youve made up ur mind and nothing i will say can change that. n really thats fine by me coz im not the one who can guide you, thats God and i pray that he does guide you to the light. btw if u have tym plz listen to Native Deen - Mercy to Mankind. oh yh n plz dont diss ma religion or my prophet. funny but i thought all religions taught their followers to respect everyone else's beliefs. maybe i was wrong.

  • @1sheeen1 You are wrong thinking Islam is a religion of peace or that Islam respects the rights of other people, IT DOESN'T.

Why are Coptic Christians being killed and their churches burned in Egypt?

Why have you made up your mind that I can't be right?

  • @IFoundIslam1 because i am on the truth from my lord n hey brotha by saying that im on the truth im not tryin to say that youre wrong and that youll burn in hell, coz tbh ive been taught to respect everyone's beliefs. why are coptic christians being killed? i really dont know. why are palestian muslims being killed? u tell me. nufin i wud say wud make u change ur mind , therefore i pray that u find what u r lukin for, cuz muslim or christian ur my fellow brother

  • @1sheeen1 Why is Mufti Mohammed Hussein telling Muslims to kill Jews?

He quotes a hadith where Mohmammad said: The Jews will hide behind stones and trees. But the trees and stones will call: oh Muslims, oh servant of God, there is a Jew hiding behind me so come and kill him.

That doesn't sound peaceful to me.

  • @1sheeen1 And, Merry Christmas infidel

  • I think rebellion is not a proper translation for al-ma'asi. Al-ma'asi is sins so al-'asi is a sinner not a rebel. CMIIW.

  • @thestonesbreaker Thank you for clarifying - Rebellion against Allah is also a sin. It's so true the moment a person for example, becomes angry or distracted from learning, the further away they are from His wisdom.

  • I think rebellion is not a proper translation for al-ma'asi. Al-ma'asi is sins. CMIIW.

Yes, they are similar in the sense they're both Abrahamic religions, but if they were exactly the same they most likely wouldn't have different names. So, they do because there's a difference. Christians don't believe in Mohammed. And Jews don't believe that Jesus was the messiah.

  • This really motivates me as a student.....

  • @dreadedqb

You don't need to be a scholar to order the good and forbid the bad. Subhanallah, SomaliMuslimah28 was simply trying to tell you that the meaning of Nur differs when referring to the Creator.

It does not mean light when referring to the Creator.

    Point. Blank. Period. And DONE.

It is Ramadan and it is in this month when we should increase in the good deeds LIKE ordering the good and forbidding the bad.

Take in the truth and stop arguing with our sister. Subhanallaaaaah.

  • Comment removed

  • @dreadedqb

You tell us. If you are trying to prove that an-Nur means light then you bring the proofs and we ask the questions.

  • Comment removed

  • @dreadedqb

Correct me if I'm wrong but were you not discussing the names of Allah, i.e. an-Nur and al-Hadi?

Nur does bear many meanings, among them light, but when we refer to Allah it means the ONE WHO GUIDES. Depending on what we're referring to, the meaning differs.

You're really confused wallahi. Try to remember what you were originally debating abt instead of moving onto different topics.

Note: No Muslim would ever attribute movement to Allaah, astaghfurallaah.

  • @dreadedqb

    You're confused.

It was already established that Nur has many meanings. Try to pay attention. It was the way that Talib al-Habib interpreted it, when we refer to Allah, that was the topic of discussion.

And no body here said anything against the 3rd of the four Imams of Ahlus sunnah. Who are we compared to Ash-Shafi^iyy?

Moreover, I am a student in the madhhab of Imam Ash-Shafi^iyy so all that I know is from his route, wal hamdulillah.

    Quote from FreshBashirLoso:

"..It was the way that Talib al-Habib interpreted it...And no body here said anything against the 3rd of the four Imams of Ahlus sunnah. Who are we compared to Ash-Shafi^iyy?"

Subhanallaah. Learn how to read, dreadedqb.

  • @dreadedqb

In the future, and in your case, I would stay quiet instead of speaking out of ignorance. If you really claim to follow the sunnah of the Prophet, take my advice.

I will finish this by ending with a hadith.

Both at-Tirmidhiyy (in his book Al-Jami^) and the hafidh, Ibn Muhammad Ibn Abu Bakr al-Qurashiyy (in his book, As-Samt, which means "The Silence") narrated from Prophet Muhammad that he said, what means:

  • @dreadedqb

Mashaa'Allaah, is that what your "shaykh" Talib al Habib taught you?

Stop putting words in other people's mouths and just read what is written.

Nothing was said, I repeat, nothing was said against Imam ash-Shafi^iyy and his teacher.

  • @SomaliMuslimah28

You've said all you can to dreadedqb, barakallaahu feeki.

He knows he's wrong, which is why he deleted his comments.

Just ask yourself what kind of person would make a sarcastic comment in a discussion like this. A lie is a lie, whether you say it jokingly or seriously. And this kid lost his credibility when he brought sarcasm into this.

To dreadedqb, either state a truthful statement or remain quiet. We're having a religious discussion, need I remind you.

  • subhanallah, Nur can mean guidance. The singer should have said: the guidance of Allah instead of the light of Allah. And he should have said: Knowledge is guidance.

The name of Allah: An-Nur means the One Who Guides

  • Comment removed

  • @dreadedqb

Read my post carefully. I wasn't talking about the Prophet. Surely, the meaning changes when you refer to Allah, the Creator.

Clearly, they didn't study it enough. One word in arabic can bear 15 different meanings. I only said that it would have been better to use the word Guidance, since that is also one of the meanings of nur.

Knowledge is guidance. It guides us on the true path and IT can also extinguish darkness, as it did when Prophet Muhammad sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam came.

  • Comment removed

  • @dreadedqb

Allah said in Surat al-Isra’, Ayah 36, what means: [Do not act or give judgments in the Religion without knowledge. On the Day of Judgment one’s ears, eyes, and heart will be asked about their deeds.]

Read this carefully. I would never EVER dare to pass my opinion on a religious matter. I don't care who Talib al Habib is, if what he says does not comply with the Religion then I will say something.

I fear for my Muslim bros and sisters and I did not want them to misunderstand.

  • @dreadedqb

    (Continued)

I stand by what I said. The name of Allah An-Nur means The One Who Guides. It cannot mean Light when you are speaking of the attributes of Allah.

The arabic language is very vast when it comes to the meanings of its words.

Wal hamdulillaah, I am not ignorant. I know what I am talking about. If you don't trust what I am telling you then please go ask a trustworthy and qualified teacher of Islamic Studies.

  • Comment removed

  • @dreadedqb

I need the name of the translator..And from there we'll continue, inshaa'Allah

I repeat, I think it would be better to just go and verify what I'm saying with a qualified teacher of Islamic Studies.

  • @dreadedqb

Wal hamdulillaah. I'm happy to see that you removed what you previously wrote.

  • Comment removed

  • @dreadedqb

I don't like arguing either but you need to remember the hadith of the Prophet, sallallahu 3alayhi wa sallam, (related by al-Bukhariyy) which advices us to order the lawful and forbid the unlawful.

It means: <<If one knows of an unlawful matter, then it is an obligation on one to change that matter by one's hand. If one is not able, then one must change it by one's tongue. If one is not able, then one must denounce it in one's heart -this is the least one must do.>>

  • @dreadedqb

    (Continued)

I don't read the translation of the Qur'an but I do read the interpretations. There's a difference and we need to be careful where we get our knowledge from b/c we're in an age right now where a lot of people are claiming to be shaykhs.

I just want to know if you can back up what you're claiming, which is why I asked you who the translator is of the verse you mentioned.

Inshaa'Allah, you'll realize that you and Talib al Habib are mistaken.

    I'll explain later.

  • @SomaliMuslimah28 With all due respect, nur means "light" in arabic. The angels are created from "nur". However, we do not compare the Nur of Allah to the Nur of a light bulb. Guidance is a different word which begins with this letter ه. There is no need for you to think of Allah as being like one of His creations. Allah is not like anything and nothing is like Him.

  • @3aaleeyah

Na^am. That is the core of the Muslim’s belief – Allah does not resemble His creations in anyway whatsoever. I never said anything contrary. To do so would be against al-Qur’an –specifically, Surah ash-Shurah, ayah 11 which means: Nothing resembles Him in anyway and He is attributed with Hearing and Sight.

  • @3aaleeyah

You said: Guidance is a different word which begins with this letter ه.

My reply: you’re referring to the other name of Allah, which is al-Hadi. Yes, correct. It does refer to the attribute of Guidance. However, so does an-Nur. How do we know this? Ibn ^Abbas explained an-Nur to mean al-Hadi, that is how we know.

Na^am, the word nur can bear the meaning of light, however, it bears many meanings. Among them is guidance and when referring to Allah, it means The One Who Guides.

  • @3aaleeyah

These two names of Allah are similar to Ar-Rahman and Ar-Rahim. That is, their meanings are similar. Moreover, it is not permissible to say Allah is a light EVEN when followed by “unlike the light of the light bulb.” In the book “al-Khisal”, it was related that Imam Ahmed Ibn Hambal judged as a kafir the person who says, “Allah is a body, not like other bodies.” From this we know it is not permissible to say: Allah is a light unlike other lights.

  • @3aaleeyah

MOREOVER, for future reference, if you believe someone is likening Allah to the creation, please do not begin by saying: with all due respect. And make sure you read over comments carefully. Do not accuse someone of committing kufr if you didn’t hear it from them.

In a hadith related by al-Bukhariyy, Ibn Hibban, and others. The Prophet, sallallaahu ^alayhi wa sallam, stressed about this matter.

  • @3aaleeyah

My response to dreadedqb goes for you too.

What she, SomaliMuslimah28, mentioned is among what one is obligated to learn. If you do not knw about this simple matter, you are falling short.

Learn about your Lord. He is unlike any of His creation. He is not and does not resemble light. An-Nur means the One Who Guides.

  • beautiful mashallah

  • Mashallah very beautifull, Jazhak allah 4 sharing.

  • The great Imam ash-Shafi, he went to his teacher Waki`

Complaining about the weakness of his memory.

He told him, abandon rebellion, for knowledge is a light

And the light of Allah is not bestowed upon a rebel

  • And say: `My Rubb! Increase me in knowledge.'' (20:114)

"Are those who know equal to those who know not?''' (39:9)

"Allah will exalt in degree those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge.'' (58:11)

"It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allah.'' (35:28)

  • All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood.

  • GROTESQUEANATHEMA

is not a muslim because what he has written is not part of islam........you are a evil person trying to deframe islam and the muslims.

i think it is just that im unfamiliar with this kind of music. =)

  • The Arabic language once demanded that you spoke in poetry. The couplets are a famous advice a spiritual teacher gave his student that holds true till this very day. The student (imam Shafi) had a photographic memory. One day he saw the ankle of a woman, and he had to glance twice to absorb his lesson. He complained to his teacher Waki'i, and the advice given to him was: Knowledge is light...
