  • i have 4 for sale

  • i love the Newton eMate, I am getting one now, thanks to eBay. Go Newton!!!!!

  • Where is the power switch? I'm getting one of these soon.

  • @MixerVM Uts a key on the keyboard, I believe.

  • People, if you want an eMate or other MessagePad especially the 2000/2100, you have to deal with the 2010 date issue. As stock, reset, it will not set to this years date of your choosing. Then, the freegin' hassle of geekfully trying to figure out what to do is enough to drive you bonkers. The Newton Community is a mess, nothing really clear to get newbies up and up. You have to find an adapter that are slightly expensive I think, then you have to wait with a bootstrapped Newton. Good luck.

  • very underrated machine i got one for $20 a year or two ago ,,, good wordprocessor, but hav no use for it....,,, , good video

  • i am getting one off of ebay for 30 bucks and it works and it comes with every thing

  • Can anyone help me? I need help with my newton emate 300. What would be the easiest solution (besides buying and being expensive) to fix my broken Apple Emate 300 touchscreen and hinge

  • Maybe someone could take the tablet part from this, put it in a powerbook, and have a really good tablet powerbook. :D but they're probably too collectable.

  • I'm getting one in a few days. I just need a charger, but until I find one, I'll just do a simple mod to the rechargeable battery to make it run on AA's.

  • Im getting one of them things in 3 days. yay

  • Cool XD

  • The first tablet!

  • I was fasinated at school by them and still to this day interested love newtons

  • Anyone want a free emate got 2 spare that are not wanted1 :)

  • I do!

  • Hey Shrimp4074, I know you you're from the longhorn reloaded project lol, It's a shame to see that got stopped by M$

  • I actually was in the first half of the project then quit to be honest, I never tried the finished version of it either but after discovering the project wasn't going where I wanted it to I quit early on. I was the guy who ported Windows Media Player 11 and Internet Explorer 7 though and also released Longhorn R2 Christmas of 2006 if you can dig up any of that old stuff lol

  • me i do

  • Here!!

  • newton like like iphones grandfather and emate is like iphones dad!

  • buth the big geustion is who the iphone's mother

    i geus .. the mac

  • im going to get mine for $5.00+shipping

  • You know theres always an idiot who knows absolutely nothing about the device and what makes it unique or are just being plain immature (Directed to Gregt10).

Nice device there, I'm thinking of getting an emate and a message pad, but I'm frightened of them braking soon after, due to wear and tear, but its nice to know that there is a very loyal community, spares and parts are quite cheap, and developers are frequently improving the capabilities of the devices.

  • You can get one of those for like 20 dollars at eBay... Very nice device, perfect for office use!

  • Lovely. :D I never cared for all the pip-pop sound effect noises, but that startup chime I find to be very charming. :D

Yes, Newtons are being sold A LOT on ebay, actually, depending on the model, the price could be anywhere from $30-$350.

  • I've always wanted to play around with one of those!

  • Yeah, I'm getting one of them for 10 bucks on Ebay... I couldn't wait any longer! So cool... Even though I have a Treo 680!

  • Do you think you could still find some Newtons on say, eBay?

  • Yea I saw one on there last week (eMate 300) that was going for $40. I paied $60 for mine, but it came with all the manuals, original box, and the original recipt of purchase. If you do decide to get an eMate, try to find one with the RAM (for the expansion slot) already in. The last time I saw that on ebay, it was $75. It supposedly made the eMate 200% faster than original. I dont use it that much, so i couldent see spending $75 on a RAM stick for someting rarley used.

  • @JohnZDeLorean No, duh! Yeah, you can! For good deals!!! :D

  • Everyone loves Newton.
