The Jaeger zu Pferde Regiments were formed somewhat later than 1871, the last in 1908. I have a Kavallrie Degen from this regiment on my wall (Modell 1889) As both Polish and Prussian I will not denigrate either country....Both of them have a long history and culture, and they both make fine Sabers and Degens!!
