i once saw a Pitbull at the animal shelter where i work and she was the nicest dog there! She was sitting quietly while little fru fru dogs r barking at the cage agressively. i saw some nice couple take her out and when they took her out some stupid people warned them to put the mussel on her. They said screw this I dont want no mussel on this beautiful dog. That day she was adopted and it was the best moment ever.

Wow that's impressive. And I thought pit pulls were terriers? Natural hunters? I had a chick for a 12th grade biology project and it was loose in my room and my wire hair fox terrier broke in and killed the poor thing in seconds. The dog actually ate my homework. Well he didn't eat it, just wanted to "get" it.

i have to disagree with some of the people who say that its always the owner's fault. yes most of the time a loving environment creates a loving creature, but just like humans sometimes you find a rotten one regardless of gender or race. on a side note i've had labradores that weren't as sweet or gentle as this dog, he's a big ol mushpot haha

This breed has proven to not be vicious or aggressive, it's people who hit them until they fight eachother, and grow to hate humans and other dogs and sick creeps who keep them for "status" to make themselves feel more like a 'man'. I personally have never been bit by a large dog, like a rottweiler, i have been bit however by a lovely cuddly dalmatian! But are they classed as vicious? NO, and they arnt! it was one dog in a million! Violent People + cute dog = poor dog getting the blame!

@chelseyrd01 - whilst i'm not disagreeing with what you're saying overall, in actual fact the Dalmatian was listed in 2009 and 2010 as being number 6 (from memory) on the dangerous dog breed list in America due to their fierce loyalty and tendency to distrust men if raised by a female owner (this stems also from that loyal and protective nature). Just thought i'd make a point of that. Overall i do agree however that many dogs get the blame for the actions cause by poor ownership.

I live together with 10 dogs (none of them are mine) and all of them are treated the best way possibel AND they listen to you because human is boss AND they all love you even if you are not their owner...
