If only Sega didn't always try to kill Sonic. Fuck the 3D or 2.5D go back to Sonics Roots. Sonic 3 like animation in HD and that old school Sonic music good enough for me.

Well at least the drowning alert in Sonic CD isn't as bad as the panic fear Nightmare fuel inducing music you usually hear in Sonic games, but then again theres plenty of other music in Sonic CD that sounds just plain scary I guess we didn't really need to have the music that causes the panicking OH CRAP! moment, not to mention it would be a little much to hear the game over music the American version had after you just heard the intense scary music and drowned,might of been too much for kids.

I love the drowning alarm in SonicCD, sooo much better than that super-obnoxious song played in all the other Sonics. Subtle yet effective. I wish that they'd bring it back!

This level is very similar to the water level on sonic 1, which in my opinion is the best of all the sonic games. Sonic sadly got crap after Sonic Chaos

How Do You Get The Game To work for gens it works in kega fusion but when i want to play it in gens some wierd eggman message pops up

For US ver: Keep pressing A until the menu appears and then search for "Option". Press A.

Then select the second option "RAM" and then "yes!". Then exit that menu and on the main one press "CD Rom".

For JAP: Same, just no need to keep pressing A at the start.

That should fix your problems.

Ps tidal tempest is my fave zone on sonic cd followed by Wacky workbench Stardust speedway and Quartz quadrent-(Mainly for the music).

I like em all though but I always liked underwater zones so my only gripe with sonic 2 was aquatic ruin was not underwater enough lol.

i didn't bother getting them on import until i started collecting games years back. when i was younger i didn't really care about 60hz + full screen. well, that and the fact that my parents wouldn't buy me import consoles, haha.

that all changed in 1999 when i turned 16 and got my first job, haha.

I have the Japanese version had it since xmas 93 the music is magnicifent, I heard they kept the original Jap music for europe too and the USA got a total diff soundtrack which Ive only heard a bit of but I did not like it as much at all.

cool man. i'm not really into speedrunning, but i've finished the game numerous times over the years with all time stones and good futures.

i've got a japanese copy of the game too -- i bought a japanese mega cd off ebay a few years ago, yet hardly play it. when i started recording the game for youtube, it was the first time i'd played it for more than five minutes in years.

which is odd, as it's my favorite sonic game, closely followed by sonic 3 -- on it's own.
