I'm sick and tired about the fact that I watch a video about my hometown, Kaliningrad, that everyone is saying give give give. I don't care if you're Lithuanian, German, or Polish, this land is Russian and that it will stay. I am from Poland and would like to see Kaliningrad in Poland, but you are right saying that land goes to winner and it is absolutely pointless to talk about it. My country was one of the greatest victim of WW2 (poeople, culture, borders, cities...) and we did not start the war... We can write and talk about it but it will not change anything. Now we are talking using English only because of former and present power of UK and USA. That is sad truth.
Oh look, a place that was once the capital of the German Prussian Empire, which later where after WWII, the Soviet Union claimed the city, deported all the Germans to either East Germany or Siberian Labor camps (where many perished), and replaced the populations with ethnic Russians. My history teacher's Aunt who lived in Berlin at the time was brutally raped multiple times and she was only 9. Those are countries and they should stay that way, I have no doubt their culture is different and dont claim that Russia should have them subjugated, it should not, there is no reason for it. However the Kaliningrad region is fully Russian territory with Russian people and that will always remain a Russian territory, not some Baltic country or territory of Poland/Germany or anyone else besides Russia.

I never said it not being a russian region did I. What I said was if Russia attacked NATO it would be a nuclear war. Putin also said if NATO attacked Russia they would use nuclear weapons. Its a fact. When the Baltics joined NATO, the french president Nicolas Sarkozy said the frances nuclear umbrella now covers the baltics as well as Germany, Poland etc.
Don't forget in the 1980's the USSR was on full alert for a nuclear war during NATO military exercises.

The USSR and the US have came extremely close to nuclear war for reasons alot smaller. In the 1980s the USSR was minutes away from a nuclear war fearing the NATO exercises were a cover.
On wikileaks plans are already in place to defend the baltics, its no secret. Nicolas Sarkozy also made it no secret that their nuclear weapons have been extended to the baltics ever since they joined nato.
