He was in his darkest time when he put this album together, however someone gave him some ecstasy and it lifted him out of his hateful state and he wrote the flip side, "Lovesexy" album.

Prince didn't invent it, but he made it HIS like none other did. The BLACK Album is one of my personal favorites. The Eric Leeds / Madhouse era is all beauty (Parade thru Lovesexy).
