i just breed my mice just because i really wanted pups its kinda my breeding project for genetics and colors not to feed snakes or any other reptiles i do have reptiles but i would never want to feed my mice to her ...she likes her crickets best lol

My friend ata school found 4 orphaned baby mice. 1 of them had spider bite, and 2 of them refused toe at. so only one is alive now. BUT HE'S SOOOO CUTE! but we havnt found out if its a boy or girl. Its hard to tell.

Straw not the best bedding for mice. Are you sure she didn't have more babies and eat some? Mice usually have huge litters, mina always had about 12

It's not straw, it is shredded hay (Russel Bedding). It is good bedding for mice because it doesn't contain a lot of dust like wood shavings do.

And no, she didn't eat some babies. She was very young (8 weeks old) when she had the babies. I got her from a breeder who separated the litter at 5 weeks of age, which was a bit too late cause she got pregnant from her brother. There were only 3 babies. Because she was so young it was only a small litter.

Oh goodness, how irresponsible of them... the breeder, not you, poor thing, not fully developed, bet that hurt! Keep the babies :) My mice liked the chopped up bedding that looks like dish clothes! Very soft.

Usually seperating them at 5 weeks of age is soon enough, but my mouse and her brother turned out to be fertile at a very young age. The breeder now seperates her litters at 4 weeks of age. I've kept all of the babies, but 2 of them have died already. The brownish one died at 4 weeks of age, possibly a viral infection or genetic disorder/birth defect. And the white one died after a chronic lung infection. The other one and his mother are still alive.

The frozen mice you can buy in petshops usually have had really bad lives. They were bred to be food, weren't treated well, didn't live in nice cages with lost of toys. To kill them, they usually let them freeze to death, which is a real cruel way to kill a mouse, it's really painful and a slow way to die. If you breed and kill your own mice, you know that they have had a nice life and a quick painless death.

they r right....i have 16 mice and one snake. i love both but snakes arent out to get humans, they actually help alot. and everyone would hate mice. plus, how often do u see mice in allies and in garbage cans and u think they r "cute". probly not very often i would think.
