  • 2:13 the look of a champion, she said she'd win the Olympic gold and so she did =') that's determination

  • too right, what a loser michelle is

  • If Kwan is so proud of her silver medal...why so teary eyed and pouty on the podium...sniveling....and then covers it up....once again...same thing as Surya's act...just more pr savy....she is the ONLY one on that podium who clearly isn't happy...what's up with that? I mean...really? Seriously? Michelle didn't you just WIN the silver medal at the Olympics...where oh where is that goofy grin??? What..oh, you didn't get the GOLD on a SILVER platter...awwwwwww....poor babikins! THANKS JUDGES!!!

  • I'm amused by the sheer amount of crazy in the comments section of this video.

  • To reinforce his point, one of Nike's 1996 Olympic ad campaigns went like this: "You Don't Win Silver, You Lose Gold."

  • And BTW Michelle Kwan was the SECOND choice of the athletes to present the president with a jacket. Pickaboo was their FIRST choice..how 'bout that...second again, Shelly:) but as per usual default kicks in and the greats back out. So you get the 'honor' the same way as usual...

  • Oh the poetic justice makes me smile, just as I did when the smile on Shelly's face became as phony as she herself. Three spots on the podium. Genuine radiant smiles from Tara and Lu Lu....a forced smile from Shelly. Her turn to know pain and fairness. Hard to handle eh, Shelly...since you expected to win simply by simply by simply staying on your feet. To be handed the OGM ...oh the joy on Tara's face...her dedication and incredible courage paid off...Lu Lu's too. Michelle you were there.

  • Looks like the defenders have called out the reserves:)-:)

  • @getrealandsee Or no one wants to waste their time commenting on videos because all you do is TROLL every Michelle Kwan video. It is rather annoying. You are not Michelle! You are not Tara Lipinski! You are not Sasha Cohen! You are not Sarah Hughes! And you are not Irina Slutskaya! You say Kwan "choked" at the Olympics, but two of the skaters you supposedly "support" faltered too. So seriously, enjoy the skating and leave the past to the past. End of story.

  • Pathetic, indeed. And such a COWARD, too. Imagine backing out of '98 Worlds just to protect her OGM "repute," ha ha ha! She knew she couldn't duplicate her fluky win and would get creamed again as in '98 Nats. After abandoning the USFSA and burning bridges with SOI (whom she has ad blood with), she's still crying "Poor Tara" to this day for the lack of attention (the one heaped on Kwan) and just vents on Youtube using her many troll identities. Sad...

  • Tara Lipinski the UGLY, CAREER-LESS HAS-BEEN, resigned to just posting her hate and jealousy of Kwan on Youtube as allenglandlawns, getrealandsee, ithinkformyself, kwansansog, etc. PATHETIC...

  • allenglandlawns, getrealandsea, ithinkformyself, kwansangsog, a.k.a. Tara Lipinski, it's so sad that you're relegated to just talking to yourself because your 15 seconds of fame, your ugly face, your big mouth, and your absence of acting and any other talent has left you CAREERLESS, desperately trying to catch the limelight by getting drunk in clubs in your slutty dresses with the likes of Lindsey Lohan. Pathetic...

  • Wasn't there anyone there to tell them where to stand?

  • tara looks like a chimp/monkey!

  • What was Kwan supposed to do? Either way, she would've looked like a sore loser...but she overcame that and handled herself with grace. It just wasn't meant to be for Kwan. I guarantee you if she had skated after Lipinski, she would've won gold. But it is what it is. Ask anyone and from experts to fans, the general consensus will be that Kwan is the better skater. IMO, she WON the silver, she didn't LOSE the gold. She's a champion all the way. Kwan is the BEST US skater. No one comes close

  • @getrealandsee Well, it could be much worse than hanging around trying to win Olympic Gold...imagine being Sasha Cohen watching Kimmie Meissner win her world title, after watching Michelle win her five! I won't even mention Michelle's 9 national titles in this post lol

  • @getrealandsee Olympic gold or not, Michelle is a legend neither Tara, nor Sarah Hughes will ever be. And she is a legend BECAUSE she "hung around forever". I have so much respect for skaters like her. To continue winning medals for many years is actually more difficult and more impressive than winning one competition (that's what the Olympics are, after all). Same goes for Slutskaya. Same even goes nowadays for skaters like Joubert.

  • @getrealandsee I would have given Michelle 5'9s for her short and long programs from 1998. They were so well choregraphed. The judges left plenty of room in the technical merit mark incase a skater (like Tara) came out with an amazing performance. And that's what she did. Since the presentation mark is only the tiebreaker, the techincal merit is still waited heavilly. Tara's win was well deserved. I loved Michelle's and Chen's programs too.. :)

  • @allenglandlawns We can't hear you: You're drowned out by all the standing ovations given Gold Standard Michelle Kwan.

  • @hikaruceres Exactly! Getrealandsee, if the judges truly just gave Kwan titles, then she should have easily won here. Whether she skated first or last would not have made a difference. This proves that Kwan was not treated any differently than any other skater. I love how you (and the rest of the "bunch" had flagged this person's comments). Proves that sunsurfercali made a valid statement, and you couldn't handle it. xD

  • Comment removed

  • @allenglandlawns The landings on her jumps weren't as perfect as well. I still think that this was a very good performance. It was better than all of the previous OGM winners. She landed seven triples with a beautiful program. Frank latter stated that Michelle's father told her that all that she had to do is stay on her feet and she would win. He also took 17 year old Michelle away from Frank for her practices. I think that you need to get your facts straight before you post.

  • @allenglandlawns This is what I'm talking about when I call some of your and Getrealandsee posts slanderous. That person even stated that Michelle kept competing because she only wanted more money. I think that these vindictive and catty accusations are really lame.

  • @allenglandlawns When did Michelle state that she thought that her skate was good enough that simply by standing on her feet the whole way and letting her heart "sing" it was hers? She stated in the press conference (before she told Tara that she liked her) that she did everything that she could do. She latter admitted that her performance was "stale". I somewhat agree with her. She didn't have the speed and passion of her National skate. I still think that she would have won if she did...

  • I dont think Tara deserved the gold medal. Michelle skated first and got lower tech marks, but her artistry was so far superior to Tara's. Technically Tara had an edge technically, but I still had michelle 5.8 5.9 and Tara 5.9 5.7 , first place for Kwan.

  • I don't understand how people think that Tara's presentation is better. You can see the joy on Michelle's face even though she doesn't squeal like Tara. The whole "tentative" comment was made by a commentator off the cuff but there's no score for "tentative". And hello - Michelle spins in two freaking directions! Do you know how hard that is? Evan in 2010 is proof that you can win the Olympics with your spins instead of one hard jump.

  • @danasuperstar Can't be that hard for Kwan...she speaks out of her mouth in different directions and goes any way the wind blows when it provides more lapping material for her. And btw...SHE LOST!

  • It's good to see someone actually happy to win a bronze medal like Lu Chen, usually the athlete is disappointed. Any Olympic medal is rare and to have two of them after overcoming so much hardship is great. I do think Michelle was robbed in 1998 though! She had the whole package instead of one flashy 3/3 jump.

  • those were some of the most prettiest medals. It is a shame that Michelle was robbed. She is still the best.

  • Michelle skated first at 2001 Worlds and was given marks as low as 5.7 for a 7 triple program with a 3-3. The judges left room for the Russian skaters. Fortunately, as Peggy Fleming predicted, the Russians "messed up a little." Ironically, at 1996 Worlds, Michelle skated after her chief competitor Lu Chen. Chen received 6.0s for presentation and high marks for tech. Michelle had to beat that to win her first world title. And she did.

  • Comment removed

  • its ridiculous that tara got 1st !!!!!!!

  • @mudhead24 I totally agree with you. Kwan will always be the winner in my book.

  • judges got it wrong. tara outjumped michelle.... michelle outskated tara with no comparison.

  • No figure skater beats any other skater they beat themselves by not performing their best at the most critical time in the judges opinions. That is what happened at this Olympics and everyother one that is honest.Tara's higher Technical Difficulty IE 2 triple/triple jumps to none. And a clean artistic skate was enough to overcome Michelle's lead and win Gold.Of course Michelle could have minimized it if she'd had at least one triple /triple.And when you rely on Artistic merit you need a perfect 6.

  • wtfuck is wrong with lipinski at .10? she's going crazy, giving herself a hard time there? geez!!!

CHEER MICHELLE! You are the BEST!!!

  • Everyone knows Michelle Kwan got robbed. EVERYONE knows that. The funny thing is that all Americans should be happy that Lipinski won, her being American and all, but at the same time, the inner conscience of every person in the world knows that Michelle Kwan should have won that gold medal.

  • @getrealandsee really desperate eh?? OH shit im desperate cuz michelle kwan lost 12 years ago so im jumping to generalizations to prove a point OH SHIT thank you for displaying how desperate i am, maybe i should seek some help eh??

But wait though, your not so creative alliteration which makes your argument sound about as dumb as an ESPN analyst has given me some hope, I have seen the light and been freed from my desperation, thank you so much

  • One one-hundredth? Swimmers and track stars, lugers, among other sportspeople have lost by less than that. Grow up. A loss is a loss. Cry somewhere else.

  • @JNagarya I'm pretty sure many skaters are not extremely close to each other for a reason: They are competitors. Anyways, Tara left the amatuer skating world too early for us to tell if she could have become better friends with Michelle. All of the other skaters in her professional career seem to have nice things to say about her: Scott Hamilton for example. Just throwing that out there.

  • @JNagarya I honestly do not care what you think. How do you know anything about Tara Lipinski or Michelle Kwan? You don't know what they were thinking at this moment...you weren't on the ice with them you ass! I can be a fan of whoever I want to...and I never got the impression that Tara was a diva and rude to her competitiors! And I also love Michelle Kwan just as much! And would you stop calling her T(i)ara? That's plain stupid! Get a life!

  • @JNagarya. Typical person with nothing left but to call people names. Get a life. By the way...Tara couldn't do a proper layback, either.

  • If a white person had small eyes I'd say the same joke that you could blindfold them with dental floss... I also DO say jokes about white people and all people btw as I said before. All races all people I find funny sometimes. Sometimes how a person walks or looks or talks. It's just funny to me or odd or wierd. don't mean I hate em or am racist! But u wanna say that it is. And u just know everyone's brains and who they hate and are friens with and are not. I see.

  • I love Tara Lipinski!!!

  • I think Tara won on the basis of her triples. Michelle's performance was much more artistic, also her body type is more elegant on the ice. If Michelle had had more triples in her program, she would have won. After looking at both programs, I still think Michelle should have won regardless

  • @JNagarya. Stating facts. Prove she won an Olympic Gold (Special Olympics Gold does NOT count).

  • @sdcashman45 AMEN TO THAT!

  • @getrealandsee One substanceless name-caller praises another -- again without substnace.

  • @sdcashman45 So you're yet another bigot who engages in name-calling with no substance to back it up because you have none.

In contrast: the FACTS are as SAID: WATCH the Kwan skate and LISTEN to the commentary about scoring Kwan ARTIFICALLY LOW in order to leave room for higher scores should subsequent skaters skate better. AND that had Kwan skated LAST her scores would have been 6.0s.

That UNDERSCORING is DIRECTLY RELEVANT to ALL the scores -- including T(i)aras.

  • @sdcashman45 It isn't that comlicated. Michelle Kwan was scored ARTIFICALLY LOWER than she should have been, in order to leave room for higher scores should subsequent skaters skate better than she. Her score was at least one-tenth lower than it should have been. T(i)ara "won" by one-HUNDREDTH.

As for the hateful "Special Olympics" bigot's comment: hypocrite: you oppose name-calling, but not personal attacks?

  • All these comments are focused on Michelle and Tara...What about Chen Lu's wonderful and heartwarming comeback? That was the most memorable performance of the evening, in my opinion. Just look at her face and tears, she was truly grateful to win the bronze. How many times do we see the bronze medalist reacting like she did? She even put her hand over her heart during the national anthem, and it wasn't even her anthem. Also, after she skated, she was so grateful that she bowed to her coach.

  • @idolfan9495....Michelle Kwan never did a proper Layback in her entire life. Ice skating is more than dragging emotion in to a presentation. National Titles...many...World Titles...many...Olympic Titles....NONE!

  • @sdcashman45 Olympic Silver and Olympic Bronze.

And I'm sure you're a multi-medaled Olympic Champion who doesn't dare use his reaal name.

  • @sdcashman45 You said MK never did a proper layback.... insinuating that Tara did? Are you serious? Tara's layback had the form of a preschooler. Not acceptable for OGM.

  • Here's my take and it's just an opinion: Michelle is the better skater but Tara had the better performance that night. The Olympics are about skill and bringing it together at the right moment to earn what you want and Tara captured that moment best under the circumstances on that given night. I wished Michelle won but this is the way of sport. Great drama though.

  • IMO, I really felt that Michelle Kwan did enough to win. Still baffled everytime that I watch this. Tara did well, but was not the best skater.

  • @BevHills SIX out of NINE judges disagreed and they gave Kwan every break possible...5.9s across the board for her 'artistry'. Tara was the best of the best for a long time and had creamed Kwan before, don't forget. And Tara is wearing Olympic Gold...it just doesn't get any better than that!

  • @getrealandsee i really don't think anything compares to the creaming tara got at the 1998 nationals. how many perfect scores did michelle rack up?

  • @cw6391 Who cares? The Olympics aren't Nats are they?

  • @getrealandsee The only differences between Worlds and Olympics are (1) the spellings of the words, and (2) hype. The athletes are all the same. How many Worlds did T(i)ara win again? And how many 6.0s did she get at Worlds?

  • @JNagarya LOL..that is just plain ludicrous.

  • @cw6391 And where did Lipinski place at the Nationals of Kwan's incredible "Tosca"?

  • @getrealandsee Tara Lipinski's REAL name is:

Princess Tiara Self-Centered Spoiled Brat Twit.

  • @JNagarya Oh, really? Well, whatever name you choose to call her because she creamed Kwan she is our 1998 Olympic Gold Medalist. She beat Mediocre Michelle Kwan the Kwybaby. Speaking of self centered and spoiled brats...how about Kwan's asinine move to fail our country AGAIN in Torino? Lost TWICE and yet thought she was our best hope...if it weren't such dirty pool and hadn't hurt so many people it would be laughable.

  • @JNagarya Shut the fuck up. Tara Kirsten Lipinski is part Polish as I am too and learn how to stop insulting and being rude to my fellow Polish figure skater and do me a favor, just crawl into your private little manhole in suburban Manhattan and rot in hell for all I care. And please, GROW the hell up and learn to act like a human being.

  • @waddleduckie1 Whether T(i)ara is Polish would be irrelevant iif she were in fact Polish. If she wasn't born in Poland, idjit, she isn't Polish.

Now I'll ask you, ethnocentric bigot: if you prefer Poland to the US, then move to Poland.

  • @JNagarya Exactly, if she was born in the U.S. regardless of weather or not both her parents or grandparents are polish or yugoslavakian or whatever, as long as she was born in the U.S. on U.S. soil that makes her an american from birth.

  • @getrealandsee How many times did T(i)ara win Worlds?

How many 6.0s did she win at Worlds?

How many times did she win Nationals?

How many career 6.0s did she win?

For nine years Kwan never came in less than bronze. Where was Lipinski all those years?

  • Yep, Tara is right up there with...Oksana Bauil and Annette Poetsch, the best of the best. Michelle will be skating in Korea with Yu Na this weekend. Tara will be ...??

  • @idolfan9495 Well, Tara was given the honor of presenting the trophy at the 2010 Nationals...she was introduced as the Olympic Gold Medalist for 1998. Let's see...oh yeah.....Kwan wasn't given that honor and ummm...how many Olympic Gold medals does she have...oh, that's right. ZERO, ZIP, NADA. Kwawn is still hanging out with the great skaters...kinda like their watergirl. Rink Rat.

  • Comment removed

  • @getrealandsee How many total medals does Kwan have? More than everyonew else. And "evryone else" includes the snot-nosed twit Lipinski.

  • Comment removed

  • @getrealandsee Yet again with the personal attacks, Mr. Integrity.

  • Tara never did a proper lutz in her life, under-rotated the second triple in her sequence combo, had a weak spiral and small jumps. She did show a lot of energy. But Michelle has the last laugh, because she is a figure skating legend, while Tara is just a footnote. And before all the Tara fans jump on me, let me say this: I think it's too bad that Tara blew out her hip training for this gold medal, because she was enormously talented. But she never became the skater she might have been.

  • Comment removed

  • @idolfan9495 Don't see the Kwanster laughing now do you? How about in SLC? Or, Torino...Tara is the Olympic Gold Medalist and that is any sport's highest honor and validates the winner as truly the best of the best when it counts the most. Kwan is a legend of course..sniveler, whiner, rink rat, pipeline blocker and a real loser.

  • @getrealandsee Your rude and your comments about Michelle Kwan are not appreciated. Michelle was a great skater.

  • @BevHills Huh uh..nope nope nope!!! Tara brought the USA pride and honor. Olympic Gold. Kwan just hung on and on...

  • @getrealandsee Yu-Na Kim is an Olympic Gold Medalist -- and she idolizes not T(i)ara but KWAN.

Now let's see you assert some unethical, intellectually dishonest smear of the Olympic Gold Medal/Yu-Na Kim because You-Na Kim has one, and idolizes Kwan, not T(i)ara.

  • 0:11 what the fuck that lipinski's reaction? what an arogant fuckin bitch.

  • @getrealandsee And neither was Kwan..sure about what to do. I asked this question and actually got a rational answer. Kwan is well versed in public persona but sometimes when she is caught being herself you can see the really ugly side of her...especially when she felt threatened...I mean REALLY..how dare someone outshine ME! She is a PHONY!

  • It is amazing and heart-breaking at the same time, when you have arguably the greatest american skater in history who just couldn't win that Olympic gold...So many championships but not the one she most wanted and deserved...I love you Michelle!!!!!!!

  • @ColosoulCameron No she DID NOT DESERVE OLYMPIC GOLD or even all the Gold medals she did take. That's so comforting...all those titles...all the crappy programs where she was held up..no risk, easiest jumps, and it is so nice to see her finally experience real competition and real judging and lose. Must have been quite a shock to her and a joy to watch. Thank God for youtube:)

  • @getrealandsee US judging in the Worlds is not a factor. That being the fact, explain how Kwan won so many Worlds medals to T(i)ara's . . . in how many Worlds did T(i)ara medal?

Kwan earned every medal she won. And she was short-changed in the 1998 Olympics by judges who scored her ARTIFICALLY LOW. That FACT is DIRECTLY RELEVANT to ALL the scores in that competition. T(i)ara didn't "win" without the help of judges scoring Kwan LOWER than Kwan deserved.

  • Her best wasn't good enough. The fix was in. The scores were set and still Tara Lipinski creamed her, transforming a sport . I respect HER contribution to figure skating. Michelle is now flying all over the world as some kind of ambassador..I think that it is because she is Chinese American. Michelle is a phony and Torino exposed her sappy press conference nothwithstanding!

  • @getrealandsee And we are paying her way even now! Sickening, just sickening.

  • @getrealandsee Your unethical and intellectually smears against Kwan's obvious abilities and character pay no one's way -- especially yours. Rather, they expose you for the malicious hater you are.

  • @getrealandsee The "fix" was in by a system which scores those who go first ARTIFICALLY LOWER than they deserve. And THAT fact is DIRECTLY RELEVANT to ALL the scores in the competition, including T(i)ara's.

Give us an explanation -- without libeling the judges -- for why Kwan won so many medals, and is the most decorated figure skater in US history, but T(i)ara did not and is not.

But you can't, because you are in all instances unethical and intellectually dishonest .

  • @JNagarya well, check out all the times that Kwannikins went first and still racked up 6s.

  • it is ironic that the winner seemed to have gotten the least praise. Lu Chen got a lot of attention because it was such a great comeback that year. Her beauty and grace in her skating ability was also well respect. Michelle, who was probably considered the best skater that year, got a lot of praise for losing so gracefully. Infact it was probably those losing comments that got her choosen to give the president that presentation. And remember, the skating age was changed because of tera.

  • @yorishiku2525 Right on!!!! I suspect that when you refer to skating age's being changed because of Tara you mean years. I am not sure why the age was changed other than to prevent someone so young creaming the media's "Golden girl." Michelle never extended herself and even at the Olympics she assumed she would win with the absolute minimum amount of effort. Twice.

  • @getrealandsee She didn't up the ante in SLC. She was also observed practicing Tara's trademark move which caused Tara to change it to a more difficult one. Hmmm..it's all out there folks if you are willing to read about the REAL Kwan. Yes, some of her wins are legit but even at that she skated against a subpar field.

  • @getrealandsee The rule allowing female skaters to do triples was established before Kwan was a factor. And yet she thereafter consistently did 7 triples per program while all the other female figure skaters preferred chewing their nails to making the effort.

Your constant, gratuitous attacks on Kwan are unethical and intellectually dishonest -- so cease pretending you stand on ethics while challenging the ethics of a person -- Kwan -- YOU DO NOT KNOW.

  • @yorishiku2525 The skating age was changed during the early-mid 1990s, while Kwan was winning competitions, and before T(i)ara was out of diapers.

  • ahhh...boys and girls. Michelle was asking tara to stand on the podium. Tera didnt think it was time to. But it was. No big deal that tera didnt know. But it was respectful of kwan to not step on the podium until tera did first. There was an interview in which kwan also was respectful to tera(the winner), in which she allowed--or nugged--tera to speak first. . Tera seemed to have thought kwan should have spoken first, but kwan respected that the winner speak first. Kwan got praise for that.

  • OMG. How many times are people going to diss Tara. She was a 15 year old girl who wasn't sure what to do...'poor Michelle'...Tara SO didn't refuse to shake her hand..it looked like Michelle was off balance and grabbing for Tara to help her stay on her feet. Seriously, the whole ceremony wasn't available and Tara wasn't ignoring Michelle at all. GOD, are you people THAT desperate to trash the WINNER?

  • @getrealandsee Your're right--why would anyone be THAT desperate to trash another skater? Did you know that there is a stalker-troll who haunts every Michelle Kwan video on YouTube and trashes her? Oh wait...

  • What the fuck was w/ Lup? She didn't want to shake her hand? BITCH!

  • 0.10 That's so horrible!!! Poor Michelle.

  • It's Shelly's turn to cry:)

  • For all the whiners out there who moan and groan about how Kwan was robbed because she had to skate first; Michelle herself has been quoted as stating that the order doesn't matter. Tara beat Michelle fair, square, upside down, and sideways!

    Period!

  • @cricketsknows2 Mighty selective of you Kwan haters: when Kwan (allegedly) says something that supports your view, and malice toward her, you quote it. But when it doesn't, you sidestep it and directly smear her.

The FACT is that the judges scored Kwan ARTIFICALLY LOW -- AND that that score is DIRECTLY RELEVANT to ALL the other scores, INCLUDING T(I)ARA'S.

Admit it: you want to pretend the only skater in the competition was T(i)ara so you can IGNORE those facts.

  • @JNagarya Wow. Hmm. Read a few of your comments here, but not all. Basically I can see you really like Michelle Kwant. But it's quite easy to read between the lines. Here's how I can totally see it. Um, your asian and so is Michelle. Therefore you will always like her more no matter what she did or does. It's quite obvious as ANY mention by someone that says something bad against her you come running to her defense! I wonder what or if you'd react the same if she wasn't asian... Hahahaha. MMMHM

  • Thank you Tara:)

  • She was held up so many times at the expense of the real winners. It was an absolute HOOT to see her think that she needed to announce that she wasn't going to compete in Vancouver...DUH...as in DUH..huge news flash. Couldn't win at top form even with the best fix in place possible and DUH...not going to try again. Must not have had a working pen.

  • @getrealandsee So tell us, hater: WHO brigbed the NON-US judges so that the "fix was in" in favor of Kwan?

Meanwhile, back at reality: How many times did Kwan BEAT T(i)ara, despite your unethical trashings of Kwan in effort to make T(i)ara look good?

And: HATE is IMMORAL, Mr. Ethics. And the FIRST person injured by yours is YOU.

  • Goo TARA!!!

  • TARA TARA TARA!!!!

Shove it, Danny "Sore Loser" Kwan!

  • I'm not going to despute the results, since they were close and the gold medal could have gone to either Kwan or Lipinski, but does anyone notice how ungracious Lipinski is? Michelle gracefully stuck out her right hand to congratulate Lipinski in the beginning of the video, and all she does is ignore her. What an ungrateful winner! I wonder why Lipinski was never well like. Maybe it was because she was a snotty princess...

  • perhaps kwan was holding her hand out to say should we take the podium now? cause it kind of looked like tara said no not yet.

  • Totally! Look at how she just stares her down.

  • @kraxi88 I get the impression that she wasn't being ungrateful but that she was really nervous. When Michelle tried to congratulate her at the very beginning, it looks like Tara asked her a question about the ceremony. If I were only a 15 year old at the Olympics I would want to know what to do during the ceremony so I wouldn't be embarrassed! I don't think she was ever ungrateful, just look at all of her interviews after the Olympics!

  • @elaria6 If I were 15, and had COMPENENT adults around me, I'd have been TAUGHT the protocol. Indeed, if I were such a fan of the Olympics as a competitor, I'd make it a point to KNOW.

After-Olympics interviews? Did T(i)ara say POSITIVE things about Kwan that her fans refuse to acknowledge and QUOTE?

  • @kraxi88 That's what I was thinking!!!! So rude.

  • I hardly remember Lipinski or Kwan from these Olympics. Lu Chen's appearance outshone them both, even if she wasn't technically as good as them.

  • of course, because you are chinese, right?

  • spacekangaroo is from Canada.

  • But seriously stop arguing cause Tara outdid Michelle on jumps do to her combination jumps and Michelle outdid Tara on performannce and presentation so in a sense they pretty much tied but someone had to win and I guess that .01 difference gave Tara the edge. Besides Michelle is not a crybaby and Tara is not a quitter it's only those people who are not fans of the other that make a deal of it anyway

  • @getrealandsee T(i)ara "won" by .01. That, fool, is CLOSE.

And had Kwan NOT been scored ARTIFICALLY LOW she would have exceeded that .01.

  • RothdeManI agree with your comment you made on getrealandsee also known as (Ithinkformyself) I was starting to see her more as getrealandandobese

  • @getrealandsee The SAME judges you smear as corrupt, because you allege they "held up" Kwan, are the SAME judges you claim WEREN'T corrupt when they scored Lipinski.

One can only have it BOTH ways by being unethical, intellectually dishonest. What sort of "reverse whining" is it, punk, to have to LIE in BOTH directions in effort to defend Lipinski's "win"?

  • Michelle got shoved off by Nancy Kerrigan too for the Olympic spot so she knew what being bumped off felt like

  • michelle didn't get bumped off. the us olympic committee felt that nancy deserved the sport more, and they were right. she had to miss the nationals because of an attack which was totally unfair to her. besides, michelle was only 13 and had many years to come

  • If anything, Tonya Harding should've been "bump[ed off" for her particiipation in the attack on Nancy Kerrigan. But it's safe to assume that if Kerrigan hadn't been attacked, then she and Harding would've ended up in first and second place, respectively. That's why Harding's husband wanted to off Kerrigan, 'cause she was too much competition. She'd already won the bronze medal at the 1992 olympics just two years before so he didn't wanna take any chances.
