  • Thumbs up to the motherfuckin Jacobin Club and the sans-culottes bitches. fuck your royal navy.

  • If you liked the authenticity and humor of the movie, I really recommend reading the Aubrey-Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian.

  • @_@

  • I find it funny that I am 14 and I like this music and movie :3 All my friends think I am weird but they don't know what they are missing. :P

  • The actors actually learned to play the instrument because they didn't want the scene to be fake-looking.

  • Beautiful. I would like to get this on a record. love my gramophone :)

  • Wings 2 people who do not like this is because they like listening to Justin Bieber u_u

  • watched the film again the other day. the more times I see this film the better I think it is. to the point now where I think this movie is a complete classic. The choice of music in the film was superb. as was the script and the cast and the set (the real boat and the fake boat they built). Awesome movie.

  • Napoleon diskikes this song.

  • @sday4857 You didnt even need to say that, I already guessed as did everybody else I guess.

  • Does anyone else realize this song is on a Jameson whiskey commerical?

  • @Lill1anable Hahaha just the other day I saw that commercial, I then asked myself "Hey didnt I hear ths before on master commander?" Well glad they are using lesser-kown classical pieces then just overused annoyances.

  • @Lill1anable yeah thats way i here! love youtube! :D

  • did you know that in fact the real story about that battle beetween those two boats was exactly the opposite. the french boat was the smallest and won the fight. i'm french of course that's why i say that but i swear it's true :)

  • @arn2192 Its just a film frenchie.Main attraction is the music.

  • @arn2192 Mater and Commander: The Far Side of the World is historical fiction. It's part of a series. Nice try my french friend.

  • @arn2192 swear as much as you like crusader boy but,er,its based on a book where the ship is American not french......based on a real ship, which was,you guessed it,American. So yeah, Limeys kicking Colonial arse wasnt seen as commercial in the US for some reason.:)

  • @2manynegativewaves I believe in the book, the ship was dutch, though american-built, just like in the movie.

  • wow!!!! amazing. i had to download an make my version

  • + 1 FROM FRANCE !

  • Thumbs Up to the Royal Navy and Lord Nelson :)

  • @shidoj I agree, they are awsome. Rule Britiannia!!!

  • @shidoj Yay! Murder and piracy on the high seas in one of the bloodiest times in British history! Yay!

Thumb this up if you get the irony.

  • Comment removed

  • @shidoj Viva La France, Viva La Napoleon....

  • @MrMDMA101

1 vs 1 a dutch ship would fuck you all

  • @xyzRobin No prbly not even during the Napoleonic wars the french had superior ships, they were better designed. Everyone thinks that the royal navy were superior even ship to ship this was not the case.

  • @MrMDMA101 *Vive la France, vive Napoléon sounds better

  • It is a tiny extract from The Strassburg (not Straussburg) Concerto No.3 in Gmajor,

    K. 216 (not K.215).

  • Russell Crowe took violin lessons from Richard Tognetti so he's actually playing the violin in the movie.

  • Thank you very much,. I was very sad and already tired of this dull day, but this made me me smile again.

  • thank you for this music

  • Belle mélodie. J'adore !

  • Besser als das Original. Was Mozart dazu gesagt hätte? ^^

  • Just kidding, it's just at the ending of Mozart's k.216.

  • Does anyone know where I can find the sheet music for this? I've literally looked everywhere.

  • Its K.216 not K.215! K.215 doesnt excist! Beautiful piece!

  • "Here we go again, scrape scrape scrape..." -- Killick

    Excellent music.

  • @GoodwoodAlpha Killick was classic! Nice 1 G

  • The first 27 seconds are gorgeous!

  • it is nice to hear a classical sound that the new generation will experience it, the meaning of music's echo....

  • this is corrupt

  • @theafi99000 How is this corrupt? it's played beautifully

  • Yes it is 3rd movement of the violin concerto in G No. 3

  • This is Mozart's 3rd violin concerto right?

  • What is the name of this song?

  • bromance

  • great film ^^

  • I did this film 20 times in playlist to keep listening to it again^^

  • Good film, but it misrepresents Maturin. In the books, he is bald and ugly.

  • Russell said that learning to play the violin for this movie was the hardest f-------ing thing he had ever done. Pretty amazing and funny. He certainly gets totally into the roles he chooses to play. The best actor working today.

  • @eclecticsteph indeed, love all his roles.Like yuo had sed,one of the best actor out there.

  • Dr. Stephen Maturin docs name

  • If you're trying to find this song and download it, it's K.216, and this section is just past halfway through the 3rd movement.

  • I don't think this is a guy movie. It's just a GREAT movie. My Mom loves this movie!

  • first 26 seconds are amazing!

  • yea dude...its the best part..i dont understand why they dont do it longer??

  • @Supermayl i know! its awsome!!!!!!! i love it

  • Juste a mistake in title. It's the Mozart's K216 concerto and not the K215.

This mistake could be a problem if you want download this music.

    Ciao a tutti.

  • Good call, I noticed that as well.

  • I was just wondering that myself. Was about to say I was going through all of Mozart's work and didn't a Violin Concerto K216. Thank you sir!

  • This piece of music is amazing. In the movie They just suffered a terrible defeat and barely escaped from total destruction. But this piece of music really gave you the peace of mind and reassured the audience that everything would be alright.

  • The captain's name is Jack Aubrey...argh cant remember the doctors name. Sorry

  • Stephen Maturin. :P

  • Thank you! That movie is sooo amazing. Most people think thats wierd cause its a guy movie. But whatever!!! It's too good!

  • @BoundlessFreedom he reminds me of Charles Darwin on the HMS Beagle

  • AMAZING music!!!

  • anyone know where i can download this? i cant even find it on itunes

  • @haribofrog114

    probably limewire

  • ha this is on the John Jameson Whiskey commercial!

  • Comment removed

  • hostile there arent we oliver. It is the same song. just not the same people playing it.

  • Yes, and damn fine whiskey it is!

  • ok, i love this piece, i just watched the movie, and i didnt hear it, i did get up and do a few things during the movie and its only like a 1:20 but in what scene does this piece make an appearance in

  • I believe it is played while they are making repairs...In the first 1/3 of the movie if I recall correctly.

  • its where they the two main characters where just jamming together ( sorry i cant remember their names exactly but i know for sure the scene) the main dude playing violin and the other was playing cello.

  • It's about 25 minutes in. Maturin says, "how about this? Or are you in the mood for something more aggressive?"

  • lol this song is the only reason why i watch the movie

  • amazing... that's just awesome...

  • great just what i was looking for

  • short but beautiful

  • oh yeah my favorite piece in the movie! found it!

  • Thanks for posting. Been looking for this for aaaaaaaages. Cheers.

  • I wish that this song was a lot longer....i love this it's takes me to another place, and gives me a since of relaxation....but for only 1:20 sec..

  • @txccboy87 listen to the full classical piece of mozart

  • @txccboy87 it isnt it is about 6 minutes but you should search it like mozart violin concerto 3 :)

  • @txccboy87 This is actually a very small cut out from a very long song. if you search you can find it :)

  • @txccboy87 yeah i have the same feeling. It is so short!

  • @txccboy87 click on "+ add to V" under the video.

At the bottom left of the window, click the ">."

    Now it repeats. :D

  • @txccboy87 The whole movement is 6 and a half minutes.

  • @txccboy87 it IS longer... look Mozart Violin Concerto no. 3 in G major, iii movement. The segment we hear is towards the later half of the piece, which is why the beginning might not be familiar to you

  • @txccboy87 too bad for almost every person who's day is 24 hours long... T_T

  • It is one of my favourite movies

  • wonderful

  • im a 100% headbanger but this piece is amazing. ever since ive heard in this movie ive looked for it and finally found it. anyone kno if this is the full piece and if not do you kno where i could find it?

  • i'm in the same boat as you. all iknow is that it's about 3 min into the 3rd movement of Mozart Violin Concerto No. 3

  • well, if you compared this to metal...

  • this is better

  • It's been ages, but if I remember right it's from Mozart's Violin concerto (or solo concerto - forgive me I'm not a classical expert) #3, 3rd movement.

  • I just heard this on some alcoholic beverage commercial. Great piece.

  • 1:21 minutes of sheer excellence, nice background to go with it as well!

  • i love this movie. and this music is pretty awesome

  • its not in the original key i think

  • yes really great

    and great wallpaper

  • Great song wish it were longer.

  • favorite song...
