  • Dude's and dudet's...Once the wing's sweep back,it's fucking on!Has dusted every fucking jet in every country. The Tom motherfucking Cat ,is what America is all about...BIG,BAD and fucking LEAThAL.

  • Hey F-18!Hard act to follow huh?Pilot's just dont have the same thrust as the TOMCAT?T.cat's like a v-8 and the 18 is like Toyota Camry?Dam.

  • How come the sight of a meaty beast of a plane "THE TOMCAT" never get's old?

  • God dam i cry when i watch this video. Tomcat is best US plane ever built....

  • Tomcat's will alway's be the DOMANATERS!!!

  • makes me pretty emotional, tomcats were more.......than only a machine.....

  • The F 14 was and still is the best that ever was!!!! Thanks to "our politicians" who deem out the do's and dont's of our military because either they dont like planes or it cost to much of "their" pocket money. Piss on these Assholes who call their selves leaders of our great country. Stupid bastards can't pour piss out of a boot with the instructions on the heel. Long live the F 14 TOMCAT!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good Video

  • My uncle was a tomcat pilot he was in vf-33 starfighters he crashed in 1987 and didn't make it sadly :/ but if anyone wants some good video of his squadron flying let me know

  • @1987hawkeye My uncle died as a RIO in VF-143 Pukin' Dogs in '88.

  • what is the song

  • i agree at 1:38 my uncle is a pilot in US navy, he said that he enjoyed flying 6x more before with the F-14 than in F/A 18. F-14 was a bad ass :) He said if he would have a chance to get 5 F/A18E or 1 F-14A he would choose F-14 even A model

  • @ TheScrumpty As advertised 390nm combat radius of the Rhino + the stories I've heard about it needing to ride afterburners at altitude just to maintain cruising speed seem to answer that for the Navy. Even with all the tanker support around it needs better performance. I think 26,750 lbs of thrust with the capibility of super cruiz @ $1.7 million less than the Tomcat21 in a lighter more capible aircraft with less maitnance hours is batting 1000 for the bug.

  • @ TheScrumpty So the Rhino going from 22,000 lbs thrust per engine to 26,750 lbs with the capibility of super cruiz is a sizable gain @ $1.7 million less per Aircraft than the Tommy upgrade, than I think that I think the Navy / Marine Corps would be foolish to pass that up.

  • @ TheScrumpty The Rhino is slated for an engine & radar upgrade with the F/A-18E/F EPE, as it will receve GE's 3D vectored thrust upgraded F414's which will + a 25% thrust increase, the AN/APG 79 Radar, & a multitude of new sensors like the ALE-55 and improvements to the BVR and HOBS missiles systems. Some people consider the Rhino a 4th gen figheter right now as it sit's with these upgrades it would have no problem taking on an F/A-22 let alone true adversary aircraft sutch as the SU-37..

  • @ TheScrumpty No Offense, I've talked to more than enough fighter jockies the F-14D & the F/A-18F & the Majority of the transisitioning stick men for both bird's the vast majority said they would rather fly a C modle Hornet than the Tommy. The only guy's that said anything different were die hard stuck in the seat of the Tommy for there whole career who knew no other fighter. I like the Tomcat, it was great N it's day but even the basic Hornet's walked all over then @ the end of there career..

  • @ TheScrumpty besides, the navy had plans for a variable geomitry wing raptor, that they scrapped the Tomcat 21 project for then that suffered the demise @ the hand of the F/A-35B. Now Bowing has plan's for an F-15SE to upgrade the existing D & E modle 15's for the Air Force, & a vectored thrust varient of the Super Hornet for the Navy / Marines which pisses the Marines cuz they want an all STOVAL F/A-35C air force to replace their AV-8B's & F/A-18C-D's...

  • @ TheScrumpty the Super Hornet may not B a gen 4 super fighter but they have an achillies heal, & there have been several engadgements that they have lost to the super hornet on this last Rim Pac over in Korea. I watched the Tomy's get there ass handed to them on more than a few time's @ Fallon Navada espically if the hard deck was set below 3K.

  • my name is e-3 Ellis vf-32 squad... brakes my heart dude... but its been real oef vet.

well thank you like the video it is a great video.

  • I wish that they didnt get rid of the Tom Cat, however it only had 2 things on the Super Hornet, the AIM-54 Phonix Long Range Missel & pure speed. The AWG 9 radar system was obsleet to the F/A-18E/F/G Super Hornet's APG 21 with the Helmit SINCed Look Down Shoot Down system. The Rhino is basicly a "POOR MAN's F/A-22 RAPTOR" minus the Radar Absorbant Materil (RAM) & Vectored Thrust Nozels. It's a damn shame they did't retro fit the tomy's with that same technology...

  • @Humbler32 the tomcat had much more than that on the hornet believe me, and you are right the AWG-9 was obsolete but still worked, however with the D model it got the APG-71 which was far from obsolete, and the next upgrade was slated to have RAM and 3-d vectored thrust unlike the 2-d vectored thrust of the raptor, along with even better engines and much better avionics, but cheney's temper tantrum sealed the tomcats fate. and the F-18 is nowhere in the same class as the raptor.

  • Farewell Mr. Tomcat, thank you for 35+ years of service.

  • WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY RETIRE THE BEST EVER FIGHTER IN THE WORLD, IT HAD EVERYTHING?!!! WHAT A WASTE T O RETIRE IT.

  • F-14 owns F/A 18 any time!

    Salute Tomcat!

  • @glazuna no

  • @N1cholas240 yes... everyone agrees with me except for kids.... (who do not know anything about it)

  • @glazuna I guess your uncle flys the hornet not the super hornet.

  • @N1cholas240 no he flys the superhornet at the USN, but he said that he fealing of F-14 tomcat was much better. If i put it that way, hornets would never been placed in the USN, if the parts of F-14 were not so expensive...

  • @glazuna Thats true but also the long amount of time it toke to keep them flying. Now the super hornet has newer and better stuff that makes it great.

  • The Iranians also used F-14 Tomcats in the 1980s when they fought agianst Iraq! Some of the Persian Cats (as the Iranian F-14s are called) got shot down by Iraqi fighter planes, but the Iranian F-14s did perform very well agianst the Iraqis!

  • your video is so nice

    Tomcat is a legend

  • great vid man , the F-14 is a Navy Legend 5/5

  • SUPERB! 5 Stars!

  • Another awesome vid!
