@masterproxl: Well, the 1997 NovaBus RTS T8O-206S Suburban-style RTSs coaches #3290-3299 have been retired since June of 2010. The rest of them are still active...
They shouldn't do this to these buses. Municipal bus agencies in Mexico would love to have these in their fleets. I actually seen some RTS buses rebuilded in Mexico. I always see them in Tijuana and also a lot of Flexibles and Gillig Phantoms.
They are located on Detroit's eastide. I believe it's on McNichols street and the other one(I forgot the name of the other street). Btw, these buses were formely owned by SMART(Suburban Mobility Authority of Regional Transportation) before they were sold to D-dot to replace some of the 1979-1980's GMC RTS T8H-203.
Plus legendry filn but ir has so sad amigo, those Nova BUS coaches going GONE forevers!!!! plus i is getted moore sadder now as well amigo.plus A+9000000000000000000000Star!
This here 1995 Nova BUS RTS T8O-206 coach needs and be rebuilded, the esterior es destashing!!!! This engine styles were basicallys a GMC RTS T8J-204 model coach plus there long bloch Detroit Diesel Series 50 enging in back there plus there pump lines es so much look there same i can be looking menally imganig are JAMAICA GREEN LINES RTS-04 TAs Inc. these coach has no luck becose ir were gettig scrap right away before you eye. i wishes i can saves them en Detroit. this were legendry coaches.
D-dot has not purchased any new buses just yet. They were gonna purchase Gillig Low Floor buses including the hybrids, but the deal had failed and the order for the Gilligs was cancelled.
There has also been some service cuts(thanks to mayor Dave Bing) as well due to $300 million budget deficit. And also, D-dot may be purchasing more D40LF buses sometime in 2010.
You off of Greenfield and what street? Any other RTSes retired that you know of?

Hmmm I see. I bet those buses sounded good too.
Allen1628famm 2 years ago
Yes they do, just like the 1996 and 1997's RTS buses. D-dot has also the 2001-02 RTS 82VN models with the Series 50 EGR engine.
