Just knowing that I'm a part of this crowd is so great, my best memories were of this game outside. Some people may not even realize how big this crowd actually is if you look below the T and the S in Pittsburgh, yeah it stretches all the way back people could barely even see the screen back there they had to shut down the street.
Especially lol at the fan with the goal light; I dub thee the official goal judge of the Mellon Arena Lawn :) Even though I'm a Sharks fan I do regret not seeing a Penguin game at the Igloo.
Leafs fans are the best fans in hockey. They sell out almost every single game while still having some of the most ridiculous ticket prices in the league. IF they win the cup, The city of Toronto will go crazy.
i HATE the penguins but i love passion for the game and this is passion, just like when the phillies won in 08-09, you might hate the team that won, like i do for this stanley cup, but u cant watch the riots in philly and say its not a great environment. gotta love sports
@Mordecai016 shut up asshole. Thats the way things go. People always show up to Toronto games when they are bad because guess what, there is nothing else to do in toronto and hockey was born in Canada. People in Pittsburgh love hockey, but the Steelers are good every year, so we arent going to dwell when the penguins are bad when we have the Steelers to worry about too.
@jhopp1234 There's a bunch of ignorant statements in your comment, but I won't call you out on them (unless you want me to) because of one single reason:
If they were the best fans of hockey, they would go to every game of every season. That's why I posted that, because the best fans in hockey aren't from Pittsburgh. They've shown that because they didn't show when their team needed them most. The "passionate fans" only show up when they're in the finals.
This was how it was outside the arena after round two of the playoffs every day. crazy ass fans from one end of the lawn to the other, you may make the case that the lawn held a little more than 3/4 of the arena. it's like the lawn grew to fit everyone.

I'm lost in that crowd somewhere. I went for games 3 and 4 of the final. Next to being inside, it was the best seat in the house.
