As well as being funny, Morecambe and Wise seemed to be both decent people. I've never heard anyone say anything bad about either of them which is unusual in showbiz especially after someone dies. It's impressive you got a chance to meet Eric and made the time to give you autographs.
It was, as you said - decent people. I think they knew that people enjoy their joke, gags, the face slapping, hair legs and wig pulling lol. I always remember the bed room scene were a siren goes past and Eric saying "he'll never sell ice cream at that speed!".
Meet Eric Morecambe, very nice bloke - I was very young and we meet him in Morecambe (of all places lol). I can remember shouting it's Morecambe & Wise were upon he turned and walked over and give us autographs, sadly I lost :-(
Best comedy duo ever!

Wonderful tribute to the boys. Check out my channel, I have made many for them.
Eric is my hero, although i was born after he died, I still have a connection to him as he has brightened my days when I thought it couldn't happen!
R.I.P Eric & Ern, may you keep 'em laughing up there!

I love Morecambe and Wise.
I have all their DVDS, and they bring me laughter!
Sadly humour today does nothing for me.

Thanks for a great tribute.
My favorite part of dialogue:
Eric: (To the Vicar who is scheduled to preside over Ernie's Wedding) Do you save wicked women?
Vicar: Why, yes.
Eric: Good. Save one for me.
Sadly missed, but will be with us forever in our hearts and on DVD.

They are hoping to put a statue of Ernie Wise next to Eric Morecambe, I hope they do!!

it would be a crime not to acknowledge Ernie. After all, he WAS "half a star"! hahahahahaha :)

It would be a "slap in the face" :-) not to have them both together on Morecambe sea front.

If they had a statue together, would you be able to "see the join"? :) :)

Excellent video indeed. Top class...
They certainly do still bring us sunshine and in my humble opinion are the greatest British comedians ever.
