  • Your retarded.

  • The home Pong console was actually the first Atari system ever made. There are many variations of Atari 2600s. There are also a few 4 switcher models made. Difficulty A is expert, Difficulty B is Novice (easy). Game select selects the different variations of game. Like in Pac-Man, it switches between 1 and 2 player, etc. That's not an original RF cable, and you need a coax adapter. the 2600 Jr. has a COMPlETELY different design. Sorry if I sound so critisising, but this is a great review!

  • actually, (correct me if i'm wrong) the first atari console was some sort of dedicated pong console, but you are right in the sence that the atari 2600 was the first cartridge based atari console.

  • Hi-how can you review the console without turning it on and playing it? Pretty lame review for the first and best, most collectable old-school gaming console ever made!

  • What did you pay for the console?

  • @Zambaku nothing. Got it from a junk week. I did however by an Atari 2600 Junior for $50 with cables and controller.

  • @Gameplay34 No, the Atari 2600 is 4-bit.

  • holy shit it looks like a really old guitar amp or a radio from the 1800s O_o

  • This review struggles. Its filled with misinformation, stupid jokes, and is flat out monotone and boring.

  • @JEBBUIT yes there where several home pong consoles, i think there was about 9 different models including the magnavox oddasy like mrbeanchannel said

  • yes it was and then it was released on the 2600 or vcs in the LATE 1970's

  • Kind of a stupid review and the odyssey wasn't a pong console but used the same formula, atari made a pong console called atari pong and for everyone saying about the 2600 porn games please shut up, there are much harder to find games because I have a few ( I'm a collector), I have "x-man" and "beat em and eat em" , but other than the misstake with the odyssey your info was good

  • @whitecheese9 porn games?

  • atari version of pacman sucks

  • Um, sorta. Magnavox produced these odyssey conoles that had built in games, some of which were pong.

  • I have an Atari 2600 and I have all the games. I'm glad to see someone else who has one

  • Also, you need to remember that this was the first game system, the didn't really have much to base this on of course it would have some design flaws.

  • well, the first game system actually was the magnavox odyssey released in 1972.

  • you cant have all because their was hundreds of 3rd party games and their were porno games for atari

  • what bit depth is the atari?

  • it is an 8 bit system

  • I do have an Atari 2600 controler. The system used to belong to my older sisters.

  • @mrbeanchannel It depends what Atari system. The 2600 is 4-bit.

  • I gotta get me one of these.

I still have my orginal carts from way back then.
