Many people buy a 'low end' 1911, pimp it with aftermarket accessories and get excellents results afterwards.

@WVAK47 yes sir i did my research on this model of 1911 and the firestorm-i liked the firestorms skeleton hammer and trigger but i read many a story about the sights falling off and other problems.so i chose this 1 it was cheap(at the time)and many complained about the grips looking plastic and cheesy but to me they stand out as beautiful.thanks for watchin

I like Bersas but they are mid grade guns and I have a Thunder .380. That said paying more for a 1911 doesnt make someone a "joke", A Bersa can't touch a Kimber, Glock, or Springfield in quality, thats for damn sure bro. They are cheaper for a reason, the metals used in them are cheap, but you get what you pay for, and for the money they arent bad guns.

@Peidmonte89 yes i learned a long time ago that cheap guns are that way for a reason.BUT if u do proper research on the gun ur interested in then u have another weapon in the battle of cheap made or not.

@pokitisme What I am saying is that you shouldn't call someone a joke for paying more for a better 1911. RIA is very close to the price of Bersa's 1911, and far superior in quality, plus its made in the US. NOt knocking Bersa I have one, just saying bro their are better out their for less than $100 more. You just gotta look for the good deals man.

@Peidmonte89 yea ok i got ya its just that even thou quality is in line with names like colt or rra ive found the with this gun things seem to work great and the price is good to.now that being said i would never touch a armscore 1911 with the problems ive had with thier rifles.no my point is a 19 11 type gun is a 1911 type gun ??why pay more for a 1911 when u can get near same quality if not accuracy with a cheaper version--refer to my vmac 9/45 range vids of what is just cheap mac's.

@Peidmonte89 metroarms is not related to Bersa in any way. Bersa (Made in Argentina) and MetroArms (Made in Phillipines) are two different companies. The american classic II 1911 by metroarms is imported into US by the same guys that also imports the bersa pistols, hence the mistake of thinking they are the same company.

the firestorm and american classic are exactly the same except for the stamping on the side. I have a firestorm and have had no issues with the sights.

So have you shot it yet? (I assume you have by now) I am picking up the same weapon only by "Firestorm" on Thursday. I have heard nothing bad about these weapons other than occasional sights coming off. Mine is used and the sights are still on it so I hope that won't be an issue.

yes i fired it on new years -5 shots rapid fire and no problems-and unlike other idiots-namely my cusin-it appears u did the proper amount of research as i came across the same faults in my searches of firestorm guns-thats why i went with the metro arms 1-but the sight thing is the only problem ive ever heard of firestorm-i have a recent video of the new years shoot-the gun handled fine-by the way what was the price and did u get it from online or a buy from gunstore-thanks for watchin

i had a firestorm 1911 45acp and never had a problem with the rear sight i did have a problem with the safety crossbar on it stripping from the frame

Bersa is the company it is imported under. MetroArms is the one who makes it. the American Classic is the exact same as the Firestorm, just the logo that is on the slide. I'm looking at getting a Firestorm Delux this weekend for 404 before taxes

ive read alot about the fire storm and found that many people have problems with the rear sight coming off-that was 1 of the factors in my decision-but if ur buyin 1 online i know a site where thier being sold for around 350

local dealer carries the Firestorm for 400. after shipping and transfer fees it'd most likely be the same. plus if i buy it from him and the sight comes off like you said, he'll fix it free of charge

yeah thanks. i actually did do google searches and only found one person who said they had any problems with the gun sights. anyone else with problems it was the old not to spec Firestorms, not the new MetroArms ones. every other review praised the MetroArms one as a very good budget 1911. the gun store owner also said it was the one he highly suggested to first time 1911 owners (of course a gun store will tell ya anything to make a sale haha)
