Should've been put together with car tires on the rear, not motorcycle tires - they don't contact properly and will just end up with ugly "chicken strips" on them. The frame on the other hand is awesome, I love how they did without a conventional downtube in the frame.

Jesus, people sure like to complain about how other people spend their money. Sure you can slap together any old trike, and have it in perfect functional condition for under $10,000. But does anyone pay attention to the details? Sadly, no. That looks like a metal flake paint job with gold leafing, if done by a reputable artist, could cost 10 grand alone just for the paint job. A set of rims for just a bike can add up to 4 grand alone. It was obviously money well spent to them.

the rear tires are fat chopper bike tires, bikes tires are not flat, they are rounded, a trike does not lean therefore the sides of the tires will get no wear as in a usual bike. you can see when he drives down the road the tires only have a small contact patch. has nothing to do with the fenders.

although it is very unique and all, i think the rear axle takes the "cool" out of it. when you go around the corner with a trike, it's like you're just riding it. now on a 2-wheeler, it's like you are a part of the machine.

There is still a fare amount of skill required to ride a trike. Don't believe that it's the same as driving a car. In some ways it's harder to drive than a bike because you can not lean it into the turns. Also, the high center of gravity and the tendicy for trike frames to occilate at high speeds and when decelerating, make the trike guys a special breed. A motorcycle licence is required to drive trikes. Extreme caution needs to be taken on windy roads, and bumps that go over one rear tire.

I work at Doc's HD in Wisconsin, and i've seen a few Harley Trikes come through, and let me tell ya, those things are cool. I think they have independant suspension, so that help as far as safety.
