  • couldn't help but notice your blood bath is the wrong blood bath. You have the RANK pre-cert which was incorrectly siezed by police because its name is the same as the banned DPP39 Hokushin pre-cert (directed by Mario Brava) of the same name. You also have a lot of bootlegs in your collection by the looks of it. Expose, axe, don't go in the woods, devil hunter, cannibal man... All look pretty suspect. Nice tapes all the same though

  • @lastmarine hi mate thanks for comment yes i do have some copys, ie devil hunter, beast in heat cannibal holocaust, more but these are the ones that i just cant pick up how ever as there so rare.. i would say out of the 39 that i have 7 are copys the rest are authentic... i think the rarest one i have which is original is i spit on your grave bought of ebay for 50 quid.. i look back now and think u can get it on dvd for around 10 quid lol

  • @davefilms345 Hey i understand why its definately an expensive hobby. Dont give to DVDs lol. Who cares if it is £40 cheaper. I've got four different I Spit UK pre-cert variants. Probably cost around £300 for the 4, but i'm not regretting.... Just need the purple astra big box to complete the set

  • @davefilms345 Can you really get it for only £10? If so I'm buying it, even though I've got it on DVD!

  • David Grant served time in prison for distributing the video of Nightmares in a Damaged Brain that you have there. Must be about as rare as pre-certs get.

  • @TheDeadlySpawn79 Yes and that is undeed unfortunate not to mention pathetic, as the law on video nasties wasn't even finalised officially until 2010. David Grant would've been able to sue for compensaton had he still been alive. Thanks to the internet, censorship is dead!

  • Excellent, I see you like your horror films too. Try Night of the Comet. The Stepfather. One Hell of a Christmas. ReAnimator trilogy. Huge fan of Creepshow and Tales from the Crypt too. To mention a few...

  • Good stuff, good stuff! I still need to see Cannibal Holocaust.

  • yes there were around 78 but these are the offical 39

  • Forgive my ignorance, but weren't there much more than 39 video nasties-more like 78 of them?

  • 74 actually, the definitive 39 as they are often reffered to were the ones that were succesfully prosecuted by the Department of Public Prosecutions for obscenity.

  • ok 74 lol i knew it was 70 something though..

  • @DarkAngel182 once again you need correcting. There were actually only 72 films to end up at one time or another on the govenment list. common mistakes are xtro and shogun assassins, but neither were ever on the governemnts hit list.

  • @lastmarine

Well every publication I have read lists 74 (except for one which actually had 75, but thats another matter).

I can only go on the information at hand when I did my research, perhaps you'd like to direct me to where you got your information from so I could compare notes?

  • @DarkAngel182

Try 'Art Of The Nasty' by Marc Morris. This will tell you the 39 and further 33 titles removed from the official list. ;-)

  • @lastmarine I have yet to pick up that book, but so far ive been going by the video nasties book Darkside magazine released a few years back, but other books and mags listed the same (with the exception of See No Evil by david kerekes and david slater which had an additional film in the list ive not seen elsewhere)

  • @DarkAngel182 @DarkAngel182 Lol Allan Bryce as much as i am a fan of the darkside magazines and all the work he and the team put into the horror scene for so long, the man doesnt know whats what with video nasties. Only the other day i was reading an article in darkside for his book 'the video nasties' and he says... 'the good old days when british video shops shelved the uncut versions of cannibal holocaust, faces of death and driller killer' LOL wrong on all three accounts.

  • Marc Morris is a true authoritiy on pre certificate video, also worth investigating is 'Shock, horror' and equally essential Horror guide to early pre certificate horror in britian. :-)

  • Nice little collection.

Some advice i told my mate aswell, you should never store your Rare Pre Cert VHS tapes FLAT you should always store them on your shelf up right like a book. The reason for this is it causes pancaking and the tape can become flattened after a time causing loss of sound and poor playback,so, dont store them like that --but thanks for the footage of you nice collection -wey aye from the pre cert sniffer

  • Nice VHS collection, but a lot of those weren't actually video nasties were they?

I wasn't aware Grange Hill was nasty, though the series was never as good after Tucker left. :D
