im really into caring into fish but i would really not buy a discus. i think its one of the most dumb fish to buy unless you are an actual expert on fish care. i wouldnt buy these because their expensive and unhardy. only thing good about them is their good looks but then again. Im into fish that look wild like an oscar and gars. Thats why i hate saltwater but nice fish and you seem to be a fish expert.

@napoleontak well i have some experince but i am not expert discus breeder.discuses arent that difficult. all you have to do change the water evry week or so and know some basics about them warm calm water etc. i have had many different fish also oscars too.they are alot of fun. one day if i want to get rid off duscuses i would definately get oscars not the other agrasive fish. i love them when they are baby until they get bigger. onece they are big they arent fun anymore.they make alotof mass

@napoleontak please know some basics about fish keeping before having any other fish. read alot about them on forums etc.. then get the fish. oscars grow up very FAST and i mean it so make sure have a big tank.dont say ooh will buy a big tank after they got bigger! buy the big tank biggining.

you are right they are hardy but they need good care like other fish. they know their owners.

as i said if you are a bigginer do not get discus bcz u would kill them all in first week or so

now i have a wood 40cm long - 20cm hight. i used this wood before but it makes the water dirty become a little brown. i bought the wood from petshop. its a real wood. not fake. now i dont want to put in my 55 gallons. the water will turne on brown and dirty. i see you have a very very clean water. do you use a fake wood?

@3000carriers wood has not much to do for the leraness of water. it makes it little brown that all but that goes away after a year or soo. that means wood doesnt change the color of water anymore. i think u should keep the wood in the water to help to soften and balance the ph lavel of water. it isnt realy importint but it helps. the one i have in tank is realy. everything is in the tank is real nothing is fake. i use 3 big ehiem brand filter. they work 24/7 nonstop. but if u have only one is ok

It is possible to keep Discus and Arowana together, though it is not recommended. In my opinion, this tank will be overstocked if you follow the 10 gallon per discus rule, in addition Arowana require a lot of water volume (far more than discus need). Never the less, nice video.

@DiscusKev thank u for your comment. as i said to other people to aro stayed in the tank untill it was 6 inches long. he went to my firineds 500 gallon tank so discuses got more room in the tank. i dont think my tank is overstocked now. if u look at second video of mine. some of the fish are gone.

@bilalsolmaz555 Just because you think Discus are amazing fish does not mean that all other types of fish are 'trash'. In my opinion, Discus are trash. They have outrageous pricing and are quite ugly if I do say so myself.
