ive just had to send a new blofeld back...as the top left knob stops working properly...apparently..accordi­ng to the shop..it happens a lot.... i emailed waldorf...here is there reply....

"We know this issued and it is a software problem. We will fix it within the next firmware update.

You can do a workaround by switching Multimode on and off. After that the parameter dial will work again properly. I´m sorry for your trouble, thank you for understanding!"

very useful tutorial.

The GUI of the Blofeld seems very intuitive. Better than I expected...

The Microkorg also has a nice parameter matrix but no rich display.

I think Waldorf did a great job on the Blofeld. If only it didn't sound so digital...

@Keybern It can sound digital but Ive heard alot of demos that sound analog. Im getting out this week. Hope your wrong.

If the casio had midi in/out you can play. I don't think the knops from a Casio keyboard sents out MIDI....

can you run a normal let's say crappy casio toy keyboard into this to use it's filters and functions..... or do you have to use a midi controller?

If ur casio has a midi out u can trigger notes from the blofeld . u wud have to be able to switch local control off on ur casio so u dont hear any onboard sounds layered over the blofeld or maybe just turn ur casios master volume down if u cant switch local control off . u wouldnt really need to use any knobs on the casio as all programming would be done from the blofeld .but u may not be able to use volocity features on blofeld if ur casio doesnt transmit volocity or (aftertouch ) for example
