  • how did you get the m-box2 mini to work in windows 7?? my pc can see it but it does not read it ...do i need to get a new m-box???

  • JoetryInMotion: set ur default playback options in control panel->sounds/audio tab

  • update*** so i tried it again, i noticed whenever PT doesn't recognize my mbox, the green light on it is flashing, if i wait several minutes, the green light turns solid and the mbox works...it even works for playback on websites and it works on itunes and WMP. problem is, the sound crackles on itunes, not so much on WMP. also randomly as i was watching a video on youtube, the sound abruptly stopped and the green light started flashing again on the mbox...idk but this is too unreliable for me

  • i got some msg saying my OS was preventing interruptions and i should "increase buffer size in playback engine" (which makes no sense to me) this notebook is twice as good as my old one, RAM and processor wise, and i ran into no troubles using PTLE 7.4 on vista before. so i had to restart my PC after PT froze and then when i went to open it back up, PT doesn't recognize that my hardware is connected again...i don't understand, i'm thinking about giving up and trying to find PT 8LE for free lol

  • update*** ok i opened up PT again, and for some reason this time it recognized that my hardware was connected....no idea why, i didn't change anything....so i put in my authorization code and all that, opened up a new session, i got playback in my headphones thru the mbox 2 pro, and i was able to hear myself thru my microphone...BUT it was pretty glitchy, there was some lag, and when i went to actually record on a track, it froze...CONTINUED

  • ok i followed your instructions, exactly the way you explained, but i run into a problem when i go to start up PT 7.4LE....it tells me to connect my hardware, because it's not found...i have the mbox 2 pro connected thru firewire, and when i hook it up, windows makes that "doo doo" sound, so i know the PC recognizes it...

idk what the problem could be...oh well i guess

  • so the mbox doesn't work as the default soundcard for everything? you only have it working in PT?

    thanks for your time

  • thanks for the upload, but i was wondering does your mbox also work for playback on media players? and sound on websites? youtube for example? i'd like the mbox to be the default for everything...i have a mbox 2 pro and i'm waiting on my new notebook with win7 as we speak, and i'm going to try to get both to work, by following your video...i'll let you know my results, later today

    thanks a lot

  • @JoetryInMotion - I'm using Mbox2 Mini for non-complicated recording and mixing only.

  • What about 7.1?

  • @dannyk140 - Never got my hand on 7.1. I can't say.
