Slayer is the king of the big four for the reason that they never deteriorated from their original idea to make a fast heavy band. Almost every other thrash band changed at some point. Shit... Slayer has all its original members and is still delivering GOOD quality thrash like this.

@saul77 I agree. Its definately not as fast as reign in blood, but that was by design. They knew if they tried to outdue reign in blood it would fail epicly. It still had some fast tracks on it, Silent Scream, Behind the Crooked Cross, Read Between the Lies, Cleanse the Soul, and the slow tunes on that album are classic slayer songs. The weakest point of the album is Toms vocal delivery. Had it not been for the vocals, that would definately be my favorite slayer album.
