and ! i seen this other thing on pasteurizing with peroxide, given my current surroundings ...this would be a more doable method, but i want to do the one thats going to produce more without the possibility of hurting the spawn.and in the ned would be better and longer lasting, soon here i am also going to try and make some shiitake logs. the health benifits from them alone makes it a worth while venture !
actually i ordered the sawdust spawn, its the pearl oyster and the lady that works there in olyimpia washington ) lolsaid that this is a very hearty mushroom and shuld do ok it is a good one to try new methods with, anyway i just got the spawn in the mail todayAND HOLY SHIT! if all this takes off , i am going to need a frontend loader to carry the mushrooms.
@shenked so its not as easy aS he is making it seem ?do you have to clean the dishsoap off of the straw? .and then go to the pasteurizing tub ?did see on another web site paul stamets had another cold water teck done under 50 degrees and then brought up to fruiting temp, the results are not as good as hot water is what it said, this is my first time trying to grow oysters and all .would like to make a living off of this !
