Shadow was my absolute favorite leopard on Big Cat Diary. She is gorgeous! I thought she was incredible with her daughter, Safi. Safi was a really beautiful cat. :)

yeah leopards are solitary hunters, once cubs are grown they leave on their own, hyenas, lions and wild dogs are in pack/pride, and they fight each other, seems lions and hyenas have a intense hatred of each other. hyena packs can get 50+ even 2 hyenas would be hard for a leopard, and 5 hyenas can kill a adult female lion, leopard would stand no chance other than escaping, which would leave cubs dead unless they picked one up and carried it up a tree to safety while the rest are hyena food.

i do not believe the camera crew is a problem , they appear to co exist quite well , with the camera people keeping quiet and respectful of the leopard.

-.- they keep their distance and have respect for the leopards. if you didnt know.. these people practicaly co exists with the cats. and becoming 'shy' is probably just her characteristic. mm and he didnt scare ANY game. the cats practicaly grow up with these cars going around so they dont think anything of it.. they jus tthink it's another animal they can't eat -.-.. so uhh.... yea

that would be true for another leopard. If they just randomly went onto the savanna and drove around with a cat they didn't know, then yeah maybe the cat'd be scared. But Shadow grew up around the jeeps so they don't really think much about them

if u look at another vid of theres a cheetah jumps on to the cars and also its cubs so its not stressing them out also the mother look at the guy in the car and did not see any danger

Shadow was brought up around cars and camera crews and like her mother, didn't bother about them. I wonder if she's still alive - she'd be 13 in January.
