This is a great song! It is one of my favorite songs from The Brian Jonestown Massacre (which is my favorite band). But the sad thing is, it's true. I am a student in aschool district where the kids and teachers truely do have nothing to say. Also, Stealth401 is right. Too many pills. I didn't like their early stuff until after I've gone through all the recent albums though, it takes some getting used to but the songs of the albums Methodrone/Spacegirl are pure sex. Also if you could find it get the Diane Perry Tape.

As a teacher, I must say that I couldn't agree more. Too many problems with public education in most states to even begin to address here. The youth of America continues to waste away and fewer and fewer people seem to care.

As a student, too many pills. Honestly 3/4 kids in all of my classes are on some kind of medication for A.D.D. or A.D.H.D. and at one point I was recommended to take them. Of course my parents said no. I'm currently making A's and B's and next year I'm switching to honors classes where of course...still 3/4 kids take pills.

Yes, the meds are a major problem in society, even more so in schools. People want quick, easy fixes - caring little if its the most appropriate one. Congrats on your success sans pills.

This is just the beginning. Our public education system fails to prepare all students for success in a global economy. Mismanaged funding, teacher salaries incapable of attracting the best candidates to society's most important profession, low parental involvement, don't get me started...
