  • the problem. It's the schools that need fixing, not the kids. I think, in a way, this song talks about that problem, without actually saying it. But, who knows, maybe that isn't what Anton meant at all. Anyway, sorry for taking up so much space, I just had to say that. Thanks for reading and considering this!

  • (Continued from last post.) really is, is teachers who are boring because they have no idea what they are talking about. By the way, I get A's and B's too, with no meds. The fact is, people don't pay attention in school, because the teachers are boring, or as dumb as a dead goat. The other thing, is that they do teach us not to have individul thoughts. Or thoughts at all really. A. D. H. D. is simply the government doing what it does best: coming up with a solution, that has nothing to do with

  • This is a great song! It is one of my favorite songs from The Brian Jonestown Massacre (which is my favorite band). But the sad thing is, it's true. I am a student in aschool district where the kids and teachers truely do have nothing to say. Also, Stealth401 is right. Too many pills. I can guarantee that if I went to a docter, they would tell me to take A.D.H.D. meds. Luckily though, my parents are smart and realize, that there is no such thing as A. D. H. D. It is completely made up! All it

  • @Crazynerd96 ADHD Isn't made up, but it is a fabricated condition, it's in the name "attention deficit" - no parenting, no individuality at school, no time to be recognised or acknowledged

  • @poppensmurf if it isn't made up then how is it fabricated? o.O

  • Yes !!!

  • The longer i watched the film D!G, the more I liked Antoine...Apart from his obvious struggle, he sticks to his true ambition of writing and performing his own style of music. It wasn't til near the end that I truly understood why Courtenay Taylor admired his talent so much.

  • EVERYONE.......CHECK OUT THE MOVIE DIG ABOUT BJM AND THE DANDY WARHOLS........awesome documentary that made me love BJM and hate the warhols!!!! Antoine you awesome mf'ing genius!!!!!

  • yeah. brilliant band. Its like the velvet underground with a twist. simple catchy and they got something to say. they not fakin' it. Give us more

  • the harmonica needs that raw edgy tone otherwise it sounds too country, dylan had it right cant deny that, and his music wouldnt be as great without him blowing shitwinds through his harmonica

  • another universe of reduced awareness? or are people left on this planet which believe in something beyond justin bieber and all the other popstars?

Music is not able to change the circumstances under which we are living, but it makes it better. Help me, to help yourself and check out my music(give it a chance)

  • @texaschilibowl19 ha yea you might wanna get the heroin thing sorted out

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. I listened to it whilst on 6 hits of acid and it sounded like Heaven flowing into my ears.

  • @Kodamas17 hahaha dooope

  • that's Goldust man.

  • sweet

  • Dylan-esque at first but morphs into a song that is fulfilling utterly beautiful.

  • Fucking INCREDIBLE.

  • great song!

  • Manchester in May!!!!!

  • Lyrics are truly sad actually... Hope it's going to change.

  • I love the song, but the video is a bit odd isn't it? Who made it?

  • its off Strung Out In Heaven, 1998 TVT Records, yeah its him

  • is this anton singing? great tune! also, what album is it on, anyone?

  • @danarazzi

It's off 'Strung Out In Heaven'.

    Get it!

    You'll love it....

I love you and i've never even met you - what does that mean to you?

  • @davidheadon Cheers...Have actually got the album in the meantime. And every other BJM album. Love them all, and have listened to hardly anything else over the last month, including an awesome gig. The lack of recognition Anton gets is incredible...up to us to spread the word!

  • Awesome lyrics!!

  • i cant find anyplace on the internet that has the harmonica tabs for this song and i really wanna learn it

  • Me to, can't seem to figure it out myself either:-(

  • hey man

its in the key of a

starts off with a slide or slur or whatever from 5 to 6 then its 6 draw and blow for a bit then 5 draw and blow then 4 then 5 then 4 etc

hard to explain haha but those are the only 6 notes

    hope that helps good luck!

  • @thebloggerdog just mess around with harmonica in the key of A its fairly easy to figure out harmonica tabs

  • AWESOME TUNE - AWESOME VIDEO!

BJM - Best Underground Band out there today!

The lyrics are similar to what our parents said about our generation & what our kids will say about their kids generation!

  • my god, im like conecting with the song, its amazing, its beautiful, amazing job anton !!!

  • Anton should be president: he has sharp social observations. This is the best exposition on Generation Y and down. Especially the stuff about teachers: most are robots reading a government-dictated curriculum to students.

  • I've never heard much of BJM, but I must admit this is an incredible song. That harmonica is unforgettable.

  • @MrMoneymadManiac a very bob dylan influenced song, except now they have the technology to record a harmonica and take the edge off ^_^

  • one of the best bjm songs. love the lyrics.

  • album title:Strung out in Heaven

  • o yeah thats the one album i dont have. ive heard its not so great but i think its sounds good

  • it's a nice album, but there're better ones from bjm..

  • Strung out imo is the best album. Only second to Take It from The Man.

  • I really like ...and this is our music

Wonderfully crafted album from start to finish. Mad man genius that Anton! Had the pleasure to record with him a few years back in LA with The John Sparrow. He was all you would expect and then some. I was honored to do it.

  • I think their best stuff is their early physchedelic albums. Methodrone and Spacegirl really are something else.

  • I just know from them Thank God For Mental Illness and Take It From The Man. Both are great. Is Methodrone really good ? I0And Strung Ou In Heaven? want to buy an other BJM album but i don't know which

  • If you like physch stuff like spaceman3 then I'd check out their early stuff. I didn't like their early stuff until after I've gone through all the recent albums though, it takes some getting used to but the songs of the albums Methodrone/Spacegirl are pure sex. Also if you could find it get the Diane Perry Tape.

  • this isnt on any album that i know of?

  • its my fave album..

  • Long live rock n roll, crazy son of a bitch

  • Just one of my favorite songs by BJM. Thanks.

  • Great song. The lyrics are such a sad observation of today, I cant even write a decent comment.

  • As a teacher, I must say that I couldn't agree more. Too many problems with public education in most states to even begin to address here. The youth of America continues to waste away and fewer and fewer people seem to care.

  • As a student, too many pills. Honestly 3/4 kids in all of my classes are on some kind of medication for A.D.D. or A.D.H.D. and at one point I was recommended to take them. Of course my parents said no. I'm currently making A's and B's and next year I'm switching to honors classes where of course...still 3/4 kids take pills.

  • Hmm...wasted away?

Yes, the meds are a major problem in society, even more so in schools. People want quick, easy fixes - caring little if its the most appropriate one. Congrats on your success sans pills.

This is just the beginning. Our public education system fails to prepare all students for success in a global economy. Mismanaged funding, teacher salaries incapable of attracting the best candidates to society's most important profession, low parental involvement, don't get me started...

  • I know what you mean. I could go on forever about things like that. It's ridiculious.

  • 99% of "remedy" research the United States government funds is pharmacological because pills equal money. Capitalism doesn't care about your suffering - it cares about how long it can keep you swallowing your four hour "cure" before you beg, "Please, sir, may I have some more?"

  • @Stealth401 too true brother, our generation is a sad product of the previous one, they had it all and left us with the fox network...

  • BJM is phenomenal, that is all to be said.
