The plastic containers not sold in the food section are probably not marked food safe and your food will absorb chemicals from the plastic. Its always best to use stainiess steel bento containers or make your own.

@pineapple1969 Stickers haven't for me. I did one decoupage bento where I did a whole collage and used stickers and sealed it all with Mod Podge...the Mod Podge melted in the dishwasher and came off in one piece! But, if your stickers or decorations come off, you can simply hand wash your bento.

I bought one, because I'm an adult, and don't want it too childish.

I don't think you can microwave it though, so you would probably have to put hot stuff in something else.

Great information! Your videos improve by leaps and bounds each time for the Learning Bento. Once again, perfect pronunciation. I got the brontosaurus sandwich cutters due to my love of dinosaurs (ever since I watched AIR TV), actually, and I think it's so cute! I also bought the tiny little cube-ish boxes that you got at Jo-Ann's, but I got mine at a local convenience store. I also got some others that were cute that I painted since they're so plain. Gameeater1 - actually bento has a very large following and it isn't always easy to find information - especially information on how people (kids in this case) who can't necessarily afford to order from Japan - or don't live in a large city with a Daiso or other Japanese store - can improvise by things they can find at local stores. There actually is a need and want for this information even if you aren't aware. She did a great job too!

Nice videos, good quality, and items, especially for a kid your age. I have respect for you, and mean no disrespect, but--does there really need to be a series, let alone a video based on a type of lunchbox, just because it's foreign? There's not much to bento, it's a box with pre-made food in it, or a box you fill with your own food.

You could easily learn all you need to know in a page on Bentos somewhere else. I see no reason to have videos about boxes--just because they're japanese!

I really, really like these shows!! Its summer, now, but Ive been making bento's for my dad to take to work. It embarreses him but its fun driving over early in the morning and sneaking them into the fridge. The bento spplies are always clean and on my porch the next day. :) Family fun time! Thank you. I disagree with your assessment and your tone. BentoTV, while a long-running and occasionally instructional set of videos, has now become essentially a commercial for Sarah's Ebay store. The Learning Bento is not made for financial reasons, and it shows in both content and enthusiasm.

If you don't like this show, then either don't watch it or offer CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. There is no excuse whatsoever for trying to be purposefully unkind. Shame on you.
