dunno what you're complaining about, considering when this song was first released Steve looks and sounds GREAT. A great song too, this was one of the most unusual pop sounds of the pre-punk era.
This clip is on a video I have called Rare groove 1970's hits. Ive had the video for 22 years. So this clip is at LEAST 22 years old. thouht id let you all know in case you thought it was more recent.
was looking for this song for a while..happy to see a good rendition and good sounding version of it...used to play a lot back in early 70s on my radio show at Radio Subotica, former Yugoslavia...great party song...sorry that Cockney Rebel never got the recognition it deserved....I see Steve's influence later in Freddie Mercury and others...
He make us Happy. In den Zeiten von Glamour hat jeder Fan mal ne Line gezogen. War ne geile Zeit. Möchte keinen Moment missen, trotzdem muss man den Weg zum normalen offenhalten.
sad story of stardom..CR was huge in 72-75..Steve was the dude to copy...lost out to all other glam guys...BUT he was and remains an ORIGINAL...time goes by..and he ..like many other stars ...just got into drugs..got old and are now a shadow of their past (Remember Easy Beats, Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac, Kansas, Asia etc.etc)....
Whilst I might agree with the history, can't agree with your verdict of now.. Saw Steve in Edinburgh 12 months ago and it was like being back at his concerts in '73, 74 and 75 in fact better than the garden party but hey it was in doors!!
@geligniteandlilies It's not just his hairline - he also seems to be carrying some weight, is sweating like a pig and seems to have difficulty with his breathing and mobility.
i want what he's on

@larjanus I always think Magazine and their singer Howard Devoto must have been listening to Steve Harley. His vocal style is very similar.

excellent version, considering the sparse line-up of the band. in the 70s it took about another 3-4 musicians to do that.

Interesting. He hasn't aged well, has he?

i was thinking exactly the same thing, he was only 33 here! Maybe it's just the hair (or lack of it...) :)
